- TriviaRussian-born composer of Hungarian parentage who worked on film scores in both Britain and the U.S.. He was educated in Rome, Vienna, Berlin and Budapest and started writing music for Viennese operettas. In films from 1930, he became best known for the song "Be My Love," written for the movie "The Toast of New Orleans", which became the signature song for Mario Lanza and a popular standard.
