Christopher Nolan never ceases to leave his audiences amused. Be it through the absolutely jaw-dropping masterpieces he creates for the big screens or simply the way he prefers to spend his life (which notably includes ‘without a smartphone’), the mastermind filmmaker somehow manages to leave his fans surprised down to the core in the most unimaginable of ways.

Recently, following the release of the Emma Stone-starrer critically acclaimed series The Curse, Nolan did the same. However this time, he didn’t stun and leave his fans confused and unable to believe it through some strange tactic. Instead, this time, it was simply through his reaction to the finale of the 2023 series, which he seems to have texted showrunner Benny Safdie about!

Is there a rule book for comedy? It’s a question igniting fiery debates, especially in today’s era of “cancel culture” dictating the dos and don’ts of stand-up. But for Tony Hinchcliffe, the idea of conforming to these restrictions is as likely as finding a unicorn at a rodeo.
“There’s no room for victim mentality here,” Hinchcliffe tells Variety. “When you step into a dark, dingy comedy club, what do you want to see? Think about it like a strip club. Do you want to see girls in a dress? Or do you want to see nasty fucking shit? You want ping-pong balls flying at your head.”
Hinchcliffe sits back in a golden chair for his Zoom interview, rocking a plain white T-shirt and basketball shorts, reminiscing about his days as the class clown. He was born and raised on the rough and tumble streets of Youngstown,...

Justice may be blind, but it’s hard to look away from the legal mess Love is Blind has become.
Back in October, reality series contestant Tran Dang went after Love is Blind production companies Kinetic Content and Delirium TV with a sexual assault, false imprisonment and negligence lawsuit. Now, Season 5 participant Renee Poche is suing Delirium and Netflix to stop a $4 million arbitration the producers took against her in November for “some limited public remarks about her distressing time on the Program, including the terrifying experiences she had with Wall.”
Similar to claims Dang made last year, Poche details what allegedly really went down behind the sordid scenes during her time on Love Is Blind.
“On her first night in Los Angeles, the Program’s production staff seized Poche’s phone, passport, and driver’s license,” today’s complaint says. “When not filming, Poche was locked in her hotel room,...

In November 2021, a “Love Is Blind” casting agent reached out to Renee Poche on Instagram to see if she would be interested in participating in the Netflix reality phenomenon that encourages romance between participants before they see one another other face to face. After passing a grueling interview process, the Texas veterinarian began filming in April 2022, joining the Season 5 cast of 15 men and 15 women in Los Angeles.
On her first night, production staff seized Poche’s phone, passport and driver’s license, she claims in legal filings, and kept her locked in her hotel room, unable to leave without a cast wrangler accompanying her. Poche wound up in a so-called showmance with Carter Wall, who landed a spot on the series despite being allegedly broke, jobless, unhoused, violent and addicted to amphetamines and alcohol — a stunning feat given the thorough vetting done by Delirium TV, the show’s production company.

Long-serving Rtl exec Stephan Schmitter has landed the big seat in Germany. He has been named CEO of Rtl Deutschland, effective January 1, 2024.
Schmitter is currently Chief Content Officer, a role he will retain in his new post, which hands him responsibility for the Rtl+ streaming service and restructured publishing unit Gruner and Jahr.
Rtl CEO Thomas Rabe took on leadership of Rtl Deutschland in August 2022, and has been searching for a new leader for the business since then as Chairman. Previous CEO Stephan Schäfer exited his post less than a year after taking the role.
Reports in Germany say Schmitter was the front runner from an early stage. Once he takes on the new role, Rtl Deutschland’s Management Board will comprise Schmitter, Matthias Dang as Chief Commercial, Technology and Data Officer, Andreas Fischer as Chief Operating Officer and Ingrid Heisserer as Chief Financial Officer & Chief Human Resources Officer. Just like in George A. Romero's 1978 original, the bulk of Zack Snyder's 2004 remake of "Dawn of the Dead" takes place in a shopping mall. In both films, a group of still-living people take refuge while scads of the undead shamble up against the walls outside. The commentary, of course, is that even after zombification, people still want to worship at consumerism's most powerful megachurch: the modern mall. All their memories and humanity have been erased by zombie-ism, but shopping remains one of their basest instincts. It's hardly a nuanced or complex theme, but it does make both films slightly more interesting.
Snyder's film is more energetic and playful than Romero's, an odd thing to say, given how turgid, humorless, and self-important the bulk of Snyder's films tend to be. One might credit the film's levity to the notoriously jocular screenwriter James Gunn, the director of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" movies.

Love Is Blind contestant Tran Dang has hit production companies Kinetic Content and Delirium TV with a sexual assault, false imprisonment and negligence lawsuit, claims the companies and the show’s creator are pushing back against.
Claiming she was “aggressively recruited” to appear on the hit Netflix reality series and “intentionally sequestered for two weeks” in the show’s pods by producers, Dang’s complaint alleges she was attacked by her then on-screen fiancé Thomas Smith on May 3, 2022 while in Mexico shooting Love Is Blind’s fifth season. The filing from Houston law firm Wallace & Allen Llp details that “due to Delirium TV and Kinetic Content’s 24-hour surveillance of Plaintiff and Defendant Smith, most if not all of these traumatic acts were filmed by the production crew and within their knowledge.”

Despite getting engaged on “Love Is Blind” Season 5, there’s a reason Tran Dang and her former fiancé Thomas Smith do not appear in the Netflix series: Dang is suing the dating reality series’ production companies Kinetic Content and Delirium TV, citing sexual assault, false imprisonment and negligence.
