- Boyo lives with his brother Sid, his sister Gwenny and their elderly mother Marlene in an economically depressed area of South-West Wales. On the morning when they need to report for work, they find she has sabotaged Sid's bike, scuppering their chances of employment. Sid and Gwenny begin to spend more and more of their considerable spare time together, washing down medication they've obtained under their mother's name with pilfered booze. Marlene's increasingly eccentric behaviour leads to her being interred in a hospital, but Boyo is powerless to stop his brother and sister from drifting dangerously out of touch with reality.

The unconventional dance film is set in a bunker, where a man and a woman are seeking shelter from the rain. Shusaku manages to forge a symbiosis between the body and its surroundings and to show a whole range of emotions - from ecstasy to pain to tenderness - with only minor motions. Conen captures this game in beautiful, intriguing black-and-white images with yellow as a surprising accent.

Fred still repeats her confession in court. Wendy is brought in just in time to testify she and Boudewijn were enacting one of their rape games, when Beth surprised them.

Teun and Helga are alienated by a teenage boy who first reports his wallet stolen and then, when a girl fitting his given description of the thief is found, denies it was her. Teun also visits Charmaine again. Evert and Altan investigate the murder on a young Hindu. Arend confronts Evert about his racist remarks and receives a controversial offer from Tara el Hamchaoui- she suggests using unemployed people with poor chances of getting other work to fill in the understaffed police station'ss extra hours. Crazy garbage cleaner Jules finds Theo's corpse, and Dogan calls Altan, implying that Efe was the killer. Lucas has won his dancing competition.

Helga worries about getting her kids home as her husband, who has a burn-out, is unable to do so, and helps her former Dutch teacher overcome his fears for two out-of-control students who went as far as setting his hair on fire in class. Teun feels attracted to Charmaine and visits her in her brothel. Theo, who is still plaguing Efe, is mysteriously shot at night. Mrs. Hartekamp visits the police station again, this time to report a stolen coffee blender.
