This backwater village has 2 population groups: those who are leaving, and those who are thinking about leaving. Antonio leaves in what appears to be a suicide crusade - openly promising on TV that he will give his Karina all she could wish for, or he'll face a deadly machine he has invented. - Three people pose for the camera, a little boy in the children's room, an old lady in front of the window overlooking the blooming garden and a businessman behind his desk. Everyone has something different that is important, that still needs to be adjusted in order for the recording to succeed. The toy car needs to be in the right place, the bouquet in the vase needs some arrangement, and the folds of the tablecloth need to be smoothed out. Finally, the gentleman in a fine suit shows the framed family photo, behind him the pompous panorama window with a view upon the city. When the businessman suddenly gets up, he gets dizzy and has to support himself. He leaves the office and house, rushes into the fresh air, but breathing only heavily. He wanders through the city, its streets and squares, through corridors and strange rooms, aimlessly and disoriented. The people he meets in passing are obviously no better off than he is. They do things that seem pointless. More and more people don't do anything anymore, they just seem to be living only today. No more tomorrow? What about the day after tomorrow? What about their future? Finally the man reaches the outskirts of town, where travelers are trying to set off, with their luggage in hand. Where will they go, what do they say about their destination?
