- A courtesan accidentally comes to the house of a humble man and lives in the civil society without revealing about her profession. She falls for the man but her past forbids a union between them.

Will Ramya assist him, or conclude that he is using her to escape the death penalty?

- Tells the story of newly weds Hamid and Salma. They move into a rental flat next door to the local red light district. She must never reveal her husband's true identity to her son or else he will be killed. So Rustom's son, Sohrab (Premnath) grows up without any knowledge of his mighty and famous father. The Shehzadi's enemies now aware of Sohrab, who has acquired his father's strength and might, plot to make both father and son fight, a fight from which only one man can emerge alive and victorious.

Kundanlal's son, Anil, comes to Bombay to seek employment, and does get employed. His dad wants him to go and live with the Abhyankars, which he does. He falls in love with Jaya and both plan to get married soon. While in Lucknow, Kundanlal misses his son and re-locates to Bombay, and would like the Abhyankars to vacate the flat. Jaya and Laxmi refuse to vacate, and ask Anil to leave, which he does. Now both Anil and his father reside in a small room, and file a complaint in the local court to arrange to evict the Abhyankars, who have also sworn to fight this matter right to the very end. Watch as lawyers take over their respective lives, get their fees, and get adjournment after adjournment - leaving the Abhyankars and the Choudhurys hanging in suspense as to what is going to happen next.
- Asha lives a poor lifestyle along with her widowed dad, is in love with aspiring doctor Raj Kumar, and hopes to marry him someday. He meets with Asha, and decides to teach Bulbul piano lessons, while his brother, Advocate Anand, romances Basanti. Their idyllic lives are shattered when Raj is arrested for killing a man named Mangatram who was blackmailing Asha for hiding a secret from the rest of her family.

Our story revolves around Brahman Pandit Tulsiram who betrays Thakur Bahadur Singh to the police, and as a result Bahadur is sentenced to be hanged. Widowed, pregnant and devastated, Bahadur's wife swears that she will raise her child to hunt down and kill Tulsiram at any cost. She gives birth to a son, names him Lakhan, and lets the bandits teach their way of life. As soon as Lakhan grows up, he kills Tulsiram. Hearing of his father's death, army-man, Roopa, resigns and openly swears to kill Lakhan. Unknown to both of them, a beautiful young woman named Sona enters their lives, making them wish that they were living a honest life instead, and both fall head over heels in love with her. Both are on the verge of changing their lives when they find out that the other also has fallen in love for Sona, and they return back to their bitter oaths - kill or be killed.

Bali is released on bail, Babu meets with him, an argument ensues, leading to a physical fight, with Bali getting killed. A fearful Babu flees from Bombay straight to Jogendranagar in Northern India, where he meets with a man named Bhagat who asks him to masquerade as Kundan, the sole heir of a wealthy man named Shahji. When Babu refuses, Bhagat threatens to notify the Police. Babu becomes Kundan, makes his way into the hearts of Shahji, his wife, Rukmani, and daughter, Maya. Babu gets enough cash to pay off Bhagat in small installments, but Bhagat becomes more and more demanding and wants Babu to steal all the cash and jewelry and abscond. Babu is reluctant to steal from these kind people, and to make matters worse has fallen in love with Maya - his 'sister'. Caught between a rock and a hard place - no matter what move Babu makes - he will surely end up trapping himself - not only with Bhagat, his newfound family, as well as the police - who are now hot on his trail.

Then begins a manhunt unprecedented in Bombay's criminal history - and the two on the run are none other than Tony and his new-found girlfriend/partner, Sandhya, not knowing that they are all pawns of a criminal master-mind who will kill anyone who gets in his way.
- Amar lives a poor lifestyle with his widowed mom in India, he is unemployed, does not make enough effort to find a job, and spends most of his time with his sweetheart, Rinku Dayal. It is then his mom informs him that Rinku has married Ajit Verma, her dad's boss, shortly after she found out that Amar had drowned. A shocked Amar must now find out why his sweetheart chose to marry a wealthy man, and it is here he will find out that his falling in the river was not an accident but he was the victim of a conspiracy against him.
- Rajan lives a wealthy lifestyle in Basantpur along with his mom; dad, Dindayal; a semi-senile paternal uncle, Bholey; and a widowed paternal aunt. Shanti, who lives a poor lifestyle, with her dad, Ramdas, the owner of a publication 'Praja Samachar', and her mom, travels to Delhi to have her eyes operated on. The operation takes place but she is still unable to see, and when they return home there is more bad news as Ramdas has been arrested for killing Dindayal's chauffeur, is found guilty, and sentenced to two years in prison. Questions that remain unanswered: Why did Ramdas commit this crime; will Shanti regain her sight; what impact will Ramdas' conviction have on Basantpur; and what will be the fate of Ramdas and his family after he completes his time in prison?
- Childhood sweethearts Gopi and Kishen hope to get married when they are grown up. Gopi dances to the magical tunes of Kishen's clarinet (shenai), and both are virtually inseparable. Years pass by, both have grown up and Gopi's mom, Jamuna, would like Gopi to get married to a young man from Lucknow, by the name of Shekhar, who works for All India Radio. Shekhar visits them, meets Gopi, and approves of this marriage, and asks Jamuna to finalize a day for the marriage. When this news reaches Gopi and Kishen both are heartbroken, as much as Kishen would like to marry Gopi he knows that he is unemployed and poor, and hence not considered a good suitor. Additionally, his mentor and guardian, Raghunath, would like him to marry his daughter, Ramkali, and may ask him to make the ultimate sacrifice by demanding this as his guru-dakshina (teacher's fee). Then the villagers ask Kishen to leave the town as he has brought shame on them all by continuing to meet with Gopi, who has now been promised to Shekhar. Kishen leaves town, re-locates to Lucknow, meets with Shekhar, who gives him a job at the Radio Station. Soon Kishen's music reaches every corner of India and he becomes a rich man overnight. He returns home to wed Gopi, but finds out that Shekhar is to wed her, and he is just in time to play the clarinet at their wedding. It looks like Gopi and Kishen's romance is fated to end tragically - unless and until a miracle occurs that will unite them forever.

Naresh decides to move out to Bombay, and informs them that he can only take Sarojini with him, while Ramesh says his income can only accommodate Raghu. In this way, Raghu and Sarojini are separated. Sarojini re-locates to Bombay where she will eventually be treated as a maidservant, and live a life confined in the four walls, while Raghu will be dependent for all his needs on Ramesh and Shobha. When Seema comes for a visit, she witnesses her parents' plight and decides to take an extreme step to alleviate their sufferings - a step that will send shock waves to Ajay, her boyfriend, as well as the rest of the Shukla family.

The village doctor starts treating all patients regardless of their ability to pay him; the village money-lender starts forgiving loans; the wealthy zamindar allows everyone to drink water from his property; the village priest allows the untouchables to worship in the temple. Can these people be trusted with a large sum of money? Can Niravan be trusted with this money, as he has his own liabilities, a large sum he owes to money-lenders, as well as provide dowry for the forthcoming marriage of his daughter, Seema (Sadhana).
