- The screen opens with the 'young Bill' ("The one that's always on about the moon!") being incarcerated at a young offenders institution in the late 70's after punching someone on the nose on the playing field. The young Bill screams and dissolves into the present day screams of older Bill (Bill Maloney) as he sits on a toilet with his young girlfriend Karen (Karen Paton) on his lap plucking his eyebrows. After a phonecall from Howard (Tony Resta) to discuss that nights 'lads' night out for Bill's Brother Perry's (Grant Davis) birthday, scenes open up to introduced the chaps with banter and humour. Along route they pick up the fourth member of the team Steve (Clive Lewis) but the evening is delayed by a phonecall from Laurie (Geoff Regan) who informs Bill that an old aquaintance has turned up after 20 years who wants to see Bill. Bill is dropped at Geoff's house only to find that old school friend Harold (David Farrington) is distaught due to the fact that the peodophile who killed his daughter six years previously had now been released. After a tense welcome from Harold telling Bill he hadn't heard from him because he had tried to 'better himself', he begs Bill to kill the peodophile and offers money but Bill angrily refuses his request saying "I ain't a killer Harold. You think you're better than us do you? Why can't you get your own kind to help you!". Clearly erratic Harold is shown out and Bill is left with the details of the peodophile which he keeps. The evening progresses with the chaps at their friend's restaurant acting like 'youths' on a night out, then getting serious about their financial operations where they discuss their 'coming together' outlining their pasts and their occupations for the viewer. The evening ends showing Bill having sex with his best friend's wife Maria (Maria Maloney) due to the fact that his best friend Dave (Colin Kirby) is impotent. Maria and Dave own the restaurant and Dave overtly discovers the his best friend and his wife having sex in the restaurant kitchens after hours. The restaurant scenes are intersperced by introductions to the females. The girls are all around Bill and Perry's sisters 'Rita' (Donna Combe) who has their Dad Roy (Roy Duffell) along with the girls for a pizza and wine night of gossip. Howard's wife Toni (Lisa Healy), keeps the spirits raised with her display of the correct use of an exercise wheel. While the evening's socialising progresses Harold is seen as a desparate man walking the banks of the Thames with a full moon shining above him. He can take no more and in despair and heavily drunk he screams at the moon and gives himself up to the Thames dark waters. The following day shows the chaps about their rent collecting business but the underlying consequences of the previous days' actions slowly take hold. It's now the second night to celebrate for Perry's birthday but this time it's a surprise party for family and friends in a local pub. Perry wants to stay at home and take cocaine and sip champagne with his wife but she knows that she's got to get him to the pub. His entrance lights up the pub and a great night is had by all, even though the 'girls' are reluctantly sent home early so that the chaps can play cards, gamble and take more cocaine. Bill is dead against his Brother's use of cocaine and constantly tears into Perry showing him the stupidity of its use. After a night of fun with the chaps Bill is interrupted by a sinister phonecall from Maria who is obviously in distress after arguing with Dave about their mutual sexual problem. Dave is drunk and disturbing and knows all about Bill and Maria as he saw them the previous night. After the traumatic call from Maria Bill makes his exit from Perry's final celebrations and makes his way, on foot, immediately to Dave and Maria's flat. He receives a call from Dave while he's running to Maria's defence and screams at Dave thoughout his full sprint to the flat. We shoot to the shocking scene of Maria being drowned by Dave while struggling in the bath but Dave has his boot on Maria's chest and she stands no chance of survival. Bill then kicks open the door of Dave and Maria's flat only to find them both dead in the bath. Dave has plugged in a toaster and dropped it in the bath so he kills himself with Maria in his arms. Bill can't bear the tragic outcome of his two close friends and after screaming at and blaming the moon he decides to take his anger and sorrow out on the Peodophile who he sees as responsible for the death of Harold and therefore justifies his act of revenge. Bill returns home and quietly retrieves the 'hidden' details that Harold left at Geoffs the night he died. He reads the letter, memorises the car number, the workplace details, and the photo of the peodophile, who is now a security guard and the film concludes by Bill calmly walking away once his deed is done - satisfied with his decision. Can everything be blamed on the Full Moon?
