- The assassination of the US President places a man in the center of an even larger plot.
- A poor but ambitious young man arrives in Paris and settles down in the boarding house run by Madame Vauquer. Even good boy Kevin acts too prudish, almost blowing his lovers cover with Laurie. He devotes himself to the hit-and-run on a vagrant, known to grosser Hassan as veteran André. Bright Lyes accidentally shoots himself in the butt but is invited to start networking, in the police union. Alex's petty crime past proves useful in the case of minor Cindy, reported missing by her hot-tempered pa. Kevin gratefully accepts to bunk with Laurie in family's grand home where they pretend to be lawyers, but when she expects kinky sex the hunk confides he's gay. The victims prove not just that.
- After embarrassing target practice, Lyez and Alex trace a posh lady's prize dachshund to Tabor's illegal dog fights, but have an accident after a close escape. Inspector Duval leads the investigation when influential banker Henri Magnard's son Henri's girlfriend Jessica's flat is ransacked. Alex recognizes her as former porn actress Malicia del Toro. Kevin's gay hairstyling expertise allows to solve the case after she's attacked at home. Laura refuses to understand commissioner Santamaria ignored having fathered her. She extends her gross insolence to witnesses and stupidly compromises the investigation for anonymous porn picture postings.
- Kevin and Lyes get dumped with an apparently absurd case, a skull so old it has to fall under the statute of limitation. They still prove themselves gifted and devoted detectives. Their observations also help in a shop-robbery case which turns out to involve Alex's ex and the weapon used to shoot his buddy in a wheelchair, causing major loyalty conflicts.
- Swimming and first aid classes are troubled by sexual undertones. Kevin fears lover-colleague Yann has dumped him, but it's a matter of discretion, Yann even found him his own flat. Meanwhile Kevin has had his first one night-stand with a hunky German tourist while investigating posh widow De Wilde's complaint about hotel robbery. Detoxed chambermaid Samia was set up by the hotel's security chief, Kevin's gay nose sniffs why. Lyes has the hots for Awa, one of several Malinese illegals, who all get busted by complaining about abusive slum motel practices. Pleading for them nearly comprimises his union career. Moreno breaks the rules almost openly to free them 'avvidentally'. Commissioner Santamaria's adulterous affair with Nadia Poulain further burdens her marriage which only survives for kid Brandon's sake. Laura suspects pa Santamaria shot her ma's lover, revolutionary bank robber Kaplan, and hopes to prove it by seducing archivist Frederic.
- Socialite CEO Guillaume and his security chief, ex-cop Paul Belut, imply the series of thefts from their depot is the work of temp Stéphane Berjade. Although stolen HiFi in found in his car trunk, Kevin believes the scared youngster's protestation of innocence. Archive clerk Frederic refuses him the same access as Laura, but his now rather cool gay mate Yann Berthier gets IA files proving Belut left the police after his bacon was saved repeatedly by Franchard, whose late sister was Belut's wife. Lyes uses his boyish charms on the narcotics inspector to get help for two private investigations: his in-living illegal Malinese 'friend', who steals from him to buy fake papers, and Alex Moreno's for informer Malik el-Dredi, the probable culprit of as shooting which landed a mate in a wheelchair.

Meanwhile Kevin and Nadia investigate the alleged poisoning of a black African by her white husband, who suspects her Chinese admirer, restaurant owner Li. She swears by the voodoo of a haughty African 'marabout' who curses Kevin and his offspring. Eager Lyes and reluctant Laura are 'on loan' to overstaffed his lover's understaffed narcotics branch. A kid poisoned by LSD in a fake tattoo, bought by his sister, leads to a major drugs trade case, which brings bright Lyes recognition and disappointment. Moreno questions sleazy informant Malik torturously until the brass releases him. It turns out Jimmy isn't the near-innocent victim Raphael believed. Nadia expects Fouchard's baby and handles the news atrociously.
- While they stake-out Indian shopkeepers' extortion for 'protection money', Kévin is first and captain Duval last to notice their foxy host Eva Keller, who keeps changing seductively in her street-side bedroom, is a transsexual. Emmanuel Gautier hints his wife, on nerves medication, may have 'accidentally' killed their baby Nathan, she he wanted to get rid of her without losing her money. While his own mother give birth early, Alex Moreno makes friends with Alex's healthy teenage brother Maxime and suspects an alternative Nathan tragedy. Viviane suggests her ex Santamaria can't be Laura's dad, claiming he's infertile.
- Moreno has nightmares is scolded for his cocky risk taking with Jimmy's gang. His flatmates let his pregnant mother move into his room, he'll have to take the smelly couch. Santamaria dumps pregnant Nadia, whose husband Michel, knowing about their adultery, wants her to have an abortion and move with him and pre-teen son Brandon to southern France. Suddendly she's held hostage at gunpoint by José Barbier, who is desperate nobody acted on his report weeks ago his Ukrainian mail-order wife Oxhana Lyachenko went missing. The brass is out, but Kevin get his lover Yann Berthier to take charge of overpowering José. They discover Oxhana's twin sister Katya was a 'client' of white slaver Protoenko, and her corps in his hotel room.
- Franchard is absentminded, obsessed by his nemesis Kaplan, and behaves mean to the rookies. Especially gentle, capable Kevin, whose ma's lover he is, gets only dirty jobs, such as dog poisoning. Just when Kevin tries following the girls' advice to play hard to get, his sassy steady date Yann is viciously beaten up by gay bashing scum. When they're accidentally brought in for petty theft, Kevin looses control and is suspended. After false accusations against plastic surgeon Sapri, Lyes and the other rookies goes undercover, under Duvak's supervision, in his clinic, where staff is suspected of using a rape drug on patients.
- For commissioner Santamaria and captain Franchard, the 15 year old hunt on crime king Antoine Letellier, who owns several casinos, is top priority. Ever-perceptive Kévin Laporte and street-wise Alex Moreno surprise (mainly themselves) pleasantly investigating the presumed kidnapping of a woman who refuses to sell out to Letellier. Kevin also learns his ma now lives with Franchard. Laura imposed herself as partner on captain Manuel Leroux investigating the fate of accomplice Krantz, who was about to betray Letellier's secret dealing, but is in unsuspected grave danger. Lyes's self-control is pushed to the limit by Aziz Merzouag, caught red-handed with illegal arms, who insults and threatens his family.
- 2006–2010TV EpisodeKevin can't concentrate on anything except being at Yann's sickbed. Boris Lukacs, the mob deputy of Kaplan, whom he shot 25 years ago, is released from jail early after 25 years. Firm boss Jean-Louis Chenier is arrested as suspect for the murder of an employee he dumped after adulterous sex. An identical murder while he's jailed proves his innocence. Santamaria shows Laura proof he's her biological father and wants her 'safely' off the case, rightly supposing Boris will come after him, so he orders her transferred to the Seine patrol. Franchard keeps landing Lyes with shit routine jobs. Yet he thus spots the only lead in the serial killing case. Alas Laura convinces him to investigate together, without telling their superiors.
- 2006–2010TV EpisodeYann pulls trough, but dumps Kevin who remain suspended for nearly beating the gay-basher to pulp and considers leaving the force. Becasue uniformed cops assumed a Maghrebinian must be a crook, Lyes is unable to keep Laura covered during their stake-out. Serial killer Patrice Caseneuve picks her up, discovers she's a cop and plans to drown her slowly in an abandoned pool. Kaplan's released deputy Boris Lukacs, who followed them unseen, makes Santamaria resign for her whereabouts. She had already got hold of his gun but murders Patrice in cold blood. IA guesses the truth but the whole brigade lies for her. Lyes is proud as a peacock to be promoted to the financial brigade, but his cubicle desk feels like another sidetrack. Brandon's father Michel Poulain makes love to Nadia again.
- Female US president Sheridan is killed from a mile by a masterly sniper who leaves no trace. The vice-president, now having succeeded for a short end of term, is contested by her brother, governor Wally Sheridan, who plays the national insecurity card, as the murder is only the first of series of terrorist strikes. Colonel Amos and his team are given a free hand to track down and catch the killer at all cost. Ross Tanner, who is found by a retired couple and lovingly nursed after a bad fall from a helicopter, comes to realize trough serious amnesia he's probably the sniper. Two teams track him down. La Mangouste's commando team kills the couple, tortures him and anyone known to have crossed his path but looses him again. General Carrington tells him his identity is an elaborate fake to intrude the conspiracy which uses the collateral victims at every terrorist strike, all tattooed with Roman numerals, like his XIII.
- Ross Tanner successfully deals with his multiple identity mystery and the terrorist threats as well as a top-level conspiracy including the White House chief of staff, which La Mangouste fails to protect against him. Wally Sheridan is elected instead of president Galbraith, who thanks him and general Carrington. Yet 'XIII' senses something isn't right.

Duval needs Alex's experience to trace 'taggers' Monty & Fred. Kévin is broke. Moonlighting in a nightclub, he fears major cocaine dealer Marco Kruger may be linked to his haughty new boss Mercier.

Meanwhile he pays kid brother Abdel for good school marks, only to discover a scam. Heart-broken by gay lover Yann, Nicolas applies for another apartment with 'partner' Laura. Nadia is in jail for a car accident which killed a pre-teen kid, whose mate Abdel is traced by Alex and despite his over-protective dad yields the crucial clue.
- Lyes is back, resigns from the union and desperate to check up on his sister's latest boyfriend, to which end he bribes kid-brother Hassan with homework 'help'. Kévin has mixed feelings about Alex, who wants him back. Alex's street knowledge and a mate 'still in action' are required to set up a gang which pays rich college kids to select luxury cars which motor-bikers later carjack. Industrialist Merquin receives environmentalist threats, so Lauro must escort his teen daughter Daphné.
- Kévin has to commandeer his new guy friend's car to be in time for the jogging reconstruction of the alibi of murder suspect François Corcieux. Despite his overweight, he outruns even three rookies, who now target witness Jean Naudin, whose statement they soon prove false. Motive follows, but for more then one alternative plot. Lyes leaks to a reporter and his mates, who focus on tycoon Carvin's presumed part in 'intimate' massage parlors. Brandon's pa decides to divorce just released Nadia after all.
