- With the natural splendour of Lac Léman as a back-drop, Le Mirage is the story of a woman who believes she can recapture her youth by rediscovering love... with no regard for the inescapable realities of life. Maria Tummler, still quite beautiful despite her fifty years, is suddenly possessed with a consuming passion for a young visiting American, a friend of her son. But neither Jeanne, her friend, nor Anna, her daughter and faithful confidante, have a right to know, even though the young girl can see the emotion in her mother's eyes and is delighted to witness the physical transformation seemingly taking place. Maria is prepared to live this miracle of resuscitated love to its very end, even as some signs of a strange physical weariness begin to invade her new-found sense of well-being.
- Arktos is the amazing story of Mike Horn who has gone along the Arctic Circle alone for 27 months, 20,000 km, without using any motorized transportation. He has faced ice storms, temperatures from -70°C to 15°C, polar bears, a fire that destroyed most of his equipment and nearly burned him alive and he was the first man to cross entire Siberia on foot. But first of all, Arktos is a human tale. He met Simon the Inuit who taught him to build an igloo in 20 minutes, Vassia, an elderly Russian fisher and so many others. After all, Mike met himself. The film shows with the poetry of the images the motivations of one of the greatest adventurer of the century.
- June 16th, 1995, Jerry Brown killed for a small bag of marijuana. He was sentenced to life in prison and sent to Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola, America's most infamous and largest maximum-security prison. 5000 prisoners, mostly African Americans, are serving their time there. Most of them won't ever get out. Jerry Brown is the star of a brutal and unique rodeo: the Angola Prison Rodeo. "The Wildest Show in the South" as some call it. The participants are volunteers but are not allowed to train. This spectacular event allows them to make some money and earn a few seconds of fame in front of 10,000 spectators. For Burl Cain, Angola's warden, it is the occasion to make large profits and to develop with impunity his religious programs. By training certain prisoners to become missionaries, he wants to spread religion throughout the prison. Razor Wire Rodeo is the story of Jerry and these thousands of inmates, whose lives have been defined by violence in the poorest neighborhoods. In the arena, the fight against the bull becomes symbolic: it is indeed the fight of men against a crushing legal system.

- State of Para, in the south part of the Brazilian Amazon. Hundreds of settlers are moving to this state, hoping they will find a better life there. But most of the time, they are trapped into large beef cow farms and treated like slaves. In this state, known as the most violent area in Brazil in terms of agrarian conflicts, Henri Burin des Roziers, Catholic priest and lawyer, fights for the landless workers at the risk of his own life. Since 1978, he has organised the struggle against hard labour with the Pastoral Land Commission, set up by the Catholic Church. Even if he is considered "the man to kill" by the large farmers, this firmly confident and courageous 77 years old man is not afraid of dying. The Brazilian government admits now that slavery practices exist on its territory and they intensify the fight to eradicate them. Since 1995, due to regular labour inspectors' raids, about 20,000 workers have been liberated. Through the story of Henri Burin des Roziers and the testimonies of some large farmers and exploited workers, Stéphane Brasey depicts a land of wealth, violence and illusions.

Prayer filled the night before Evangelical preachers began mass conversions describing the earthquake as divine punishment on a sinful nation. Dictatorship versus Democracy! From the bishop to the Voodoo priest, from a Protestant minister to a Baptist woman in a displaced-persons camp to the Prime Minister, "Bondye bon" is the story of a failed State and a people seeking the miracle of a possible future.
