- Mahima lives a middle-class lifestyle with her parents, Pooja and music teacher,Gautam. She is in love with a young man, Anuraag, whose foster father, Pratap, is very friendly with Gautam. After his departure, Mahima is abused, belittled, and treated like a servant. Things come to climax when Pratap becomes paralyzed due to an accident, which is blamed on Mahima; then two gold bangles go missing and Mahima is accused of stealing them; and finally Mahima is caught in a compromising position with Randhir, Suman's brother.
