Meanwhile, Death is plucked out of the crowd by the Archangel, and told that death is not allowed in heaven and is cast aside. Death spots the girl through the gates, and with some quick thinking, uses his scythe as a springboard to catapult himself over and into heaven, accidentally knocking a Buddhist out of nirvana (they reincarnate as a tiger) in the process. Death finally catches up to the girl when she's watching Vikings feast and fight at Valhalla, and offers her a way home. She accepts, and piggybacks on Death. Death summons his scythe to him, and it's this that alerts the Archangel to Death's presence in heaven. Launching himself with the scythe, Death finds himself at risk of being intercepted mid-air by the Archangel, and desperately tries to move quicker. He flips his scythe around so that they teleport as soon as they hit the ground, narrowly escaping the Archangel's clutches. As they teleport away, the Archangel slams into the ground.
