- "Message of K.T's Footsteps" is a story about an ordinary son discovering his father's extraordinary life. The son, Y.C, like many men nowadays, is an everyday businessman. He didn't know much about his father's life outside the family, nor did he have an interest to do so. The father, K.T, lived till the age of 92. He's been an extraordinary public servant. He didn't spend much time at home, and even when he was at home, he didn't share much of his outside life. His lifetime wish was to see his country become a success. Fifty years as a public servant, he was given the title as the Godfather of Taiwan's economic and technology success. This kind of pleasant but distant relationship between the father and son remained for many years. However, everything changed when the father, K.T, passed away. During that time, Y.C received a lot of mail from all over the place. Each one expressed gratitude and remembrance. From these letters, Y.C began to see the side of his father that he never knew. Especially those letters from overseas, which amazed him even more. These people didn't kept in touch with K.T often, but everyone expressed a great deal of emotion and feeling in their letters. "Maybe I should bring a video camera and go to the United States and visit these friends of my father. Ask them about him, and also let them know the final days of my father's life," those were the thoughts of YC. This is the original concept of this documentary. Later, Y.C visited these friends around the world, and the video camera became a film camera.
