- Twenty-three years after his BMX bicycle company folded, Alden Olmsted sets out to reconnect with the people his innovative bikes impacted and possibly re-launch the brand that was born out of a teenage dream.
- Between the towns of Mendocino and Fort Bragg, on the coast of northern California, you'll find a piece of heaven. What is now a California state park, a beautiful and protected beach, a farm and nature center, and the gateway to the Pygmy forest ecological staircase, was once the site of the miraculous, because a miracle is what it took to save it. This is the story of Jug Handle. Following California's passing of the Environmental Quality Act in 1970, John Olmsted inspired a group of devoted hikers, teachers, artists and landowners towards a landmark showdown with developers over the future of what is now Jug Handle State Park. Told through intimate interviews, archival footage and images, and breathtaking cinematography, The Story of Jug Handle is the story of the modern conservation movement in California, focusing on what is possible when people come together and fight nobly for a common goal. This film is a testament to those fighters, and also to those who continue to keep the Jug Handle Nature Center alive and running, and accessible to all.
- One day in the small town of Dill, California finds Runner Dell trying to break up with his girlfriend Evelyn. When he confronts her at the diner where she works, a phone call from a friend alerts him that Evelyn is instead expecting a marriage proposal. A day of seeking life advice from his friends takes a turn when Runner's ex comes to town to entice him back, and Evelyn makes a play for best friend Shane. Runner's search leads him to seek out his estranged father for advice who lives in an abandoned bus. The long day comes to a climactic finish as Runner races against time to make it to the local playhouse, which is performing the town play "American Dill." There's no telling which girl he'll end up with, or if he'll miss the play and lose them both.
- My father, who art in nature, is a documentary film by Alden Olmsted, son of California naturalist and John Muir follower John Olmsted. John left the family when Alden was very young to preserve thousands of acres of California parks from Mendocino to Lake Tahoe - including, among others, Jug Handle State Reserve, Goat Mountain, the South Yuba Wild & Scenic River, Bridgeport covered bridge, the Independence Trail State Park, and many more. On September 29Th of this past year, cancer was found in John's liver, and he was given six months to live. Alden became his caregiver, and began chronicling this journey of forgiveness, and of finally getting to know his father. This film is his story.
