- A group of dancers touring to the small old town of Salento to participate in a country parties.
- Five characters tell us their stories; their lives, jobs, problems, dreams and their solution to it all- the walls of the local osteria. Here our protagonists try to slow down the forever turning, scornful wheel of Fortune with a glass of wine or a beer, or a game of the cathartic Passatella; an ancient drinking game that gives the patrunu or "master of the wine" the opportunity to take revenge for a past wrong that has been suffered. 'The Last Osteria' is a documentary about a meeting place that resists the wear and tear of time and a ritual that has remained common place. It is a place where you can meet a vagrant, waiting for a special favor from his friend the deputy-mayor, or the part-time greengrocer who can't live without the sea. The head teacher disenchanted with the left wing party that keeps being "sliced" over and over, "like a salami", and a man still waiting to see his 20 years of work in Switzerland recognised by a pension plan: "And all because of the historical neutrality of the Swiss Confederation", he exclaims. In this touching portrait of a microcosm dominated by male figures Alfredo De Giuseppe gives an original and true picture of southern Italy.
- Set in the Salento Region, the farthest strip in the heel of the Italian peninsula. This documentary recounts the day of four people who, aside from their normal routine work (sometimes alienating), find ways to express their artistic skills.
- Video interview of Italian singer Franco Simone.
