When their first clients, another couple, call them up and actually request the fabled service, a poignant comedy of errors ensues.

The film focuses on the mechanical relationship between Salov and the piano, evoking an emotional state in the performance and suggesting an atmosphere akin to the impressionist movement. Sudden Flashes of Light was shot and recorded live at Salle Claude Champagne of University of Montreal. Carefully crafted, the montage favored both picture and sound without altering or overdubbing the performance. This is the first artistic collaboration between Serhiy Salov and Santiago RuizTorres.
