- Kafka's strained relationship with domineering father and intriguing affairs with Bauer, Jesenská and Diamant explored, along with meaningful camaraderie with Brod.
- Vienna, early 20th century: the young Egon Schiele is one of the most discussed artists of his time with his original, erotically charged works.
- Historical depiction of the events preceding the political murder of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, would-be emperor of the Austro-Hungarian throne, in Sarajevo, June 28, 1914. A World War would start there, that some claim has not yet ended - merely changed fighting grounds once in a while.
- Two stories about the greatest seducer of all time, Giacomo Casanova.
- The German ex-top model candidate Luna Oberbörsch imagined it completely differently. She stands at the train station in Linz with all her luggage because she was promised a place in an influencer shared apartment. But Luna has too few clicks, too few followers and too little fame - and is thrown out of the shared apartment before she was even in it. Things are also going differently than expected for the programmer Heribert Zocher: he actually wanted to present the app idea at a pitching contest at the Ars Electronica Center that would free him and his development team from his boring help desk job. But Heribert's pitch is at first pathetic, then embarrassing and ends in a faux pas with a shitstorm. And so Heribert and his colleagues are thrown out before they can even develop. When Luna discovered Heribert in Linz, first in the viral video and then in real life, she knew: we are better together than alone. The technically inexperienced but completely fearless would-be influencer begins to coach Heribert and his team. The plan is to publish the app itself and make it the hottest start-up in all of Linz. What the real star of the scene, Rutger Stix, definitely wants to prevent. Rutger has been Heribert's arch-rival since he stole the brilliant idea from Heribert that made the snooty wannabe Elon Musk Rutger a start-up star in the first place. In addition, Rutger has recently had his eye on the programmer Franzi Etlinger, with whom Heribert is secretly in love. For Heribert, this is one more reason to finally overthrow Rutger from the start-up throne and show the whole world that he is more than an IT loser.
- Endres wants to be more than just a farmer's son. He wants to be able to read and write, wear clothes without holes and sleep in a proper bed. He goes to the court of the King, who is said to be the cleverest man in the land. Endres becomes his personal servant and every day after dinner brings him a mysterious golden bowl. No-one knows what the bowl contains, not even Princess Leonora. When the queen's ring goes missing, suspicion falls on Endres.
- A king's harsh laws against trespass into the 'cursed forest' cause even his only son an heir, prince Johannes 'Hans', to be banished from court. The knave dwells I the forest, where he's taken under the wing of its magical protector, Eisenhans 'German 'iron Hans'). Having rendered strange services, he's sent off with a promise of help when he needs it and a prophecy all may end well if he once catches a golden ball, not unlike his favorite toy as a boy-prince. Grown up in poverty, self-reliant Hans reaches another king's castle and gets employed there, first as kitchen hand, after his 'gross' refusal to take off his cap (which hides his magically gold-covered hair) as gardener's assistant. As such he interests the headstrong princess, gets into trouble again, but returns as savior after the black knight, who already plagues his own royal family, threatens this realm with his armed band.
