- Amanda, 24, lives mostly isolated and has never had any friends, even if it's the thing she wants the most. Amanda chooses as her new mission to convince her childhood friend that they are still best friends.
- A married couple must get their hands dirty when a bunch of mobsters start using their new home as a deposit for illegal material.
- It is evening. Tarek is seventeen years old and is on his way to see his friends, who have asked him on the telephone to pass by the park first and buy a few grams of dope: nothing much, just enough for some fun. The boy buys the stuff in the dark park, but when he emerges finds that someone has seen him: a policeman in plain clothes, sitting in his own car. The man could simply confiscate the hash, intimidate him a little and then let him go, or he could decide to take him to the station and call his parents. But he opts for neither of these things. He tells the young man to get in the car and starts the engine. Where does he want to take him? The policeman is ambiguous, mysterious. What does he want from the teenager? Tarek is in check, he can't just leave. The policeman makes him stay with him the whole night, driving around in apparently aimless fashion, stopping first in one place, then in another.
- Gioia, 18 years old, lives with her widowed father on their farm in the middle mountains. When she is not looking after the sheep, she is helping the villagers by delivering the farm's products, distributing water from the so-called "miraculous" fountain and helping the elderly. Everything would be fine if her father, Bruno, who loves her very much, did not play games of chance. Burdened with debts, he must gradually strip himself of his possessions. Gioia tries to help him, but the addiction is too strong. With time she manages to convince him to join a rehabilitation center for inveterate gamblers. But to do so, he has to go to the big city. Gioa goes with him, settles down in a hotel, takes a job as a pizza delivery girl and supports Bruno in his difficult fight.
