- A view on the last days of the American administration of the Panama Canal and the social relationships developed through almost a century.
- Considered to be the largest open gold mine of the 1980's, Serra Pelada extracted, in it's peak, about a ton of gold per month, mobilizing the work of 80 thousand prospectors. Twenty years later, the village of Serra Pelada has no more stories of wealth to tell. And like a game of chance, very few saw that wealth. "Serra Pelada - Esperança não é sonho" is a featurette film about the expectations of 7 thousand villagers, remaining from the prospectors population, about the reopening of the mine. They live in precarious conditions, and turn themselves against the very village they live in, escalating the cemetery in search of gold.
