- It tells the story of Yasmine, a young and ambitious lawyer who juggles her different identities.
- When the Minister of BuZa dies unexpectedly, Maarten Meinema, who has been away from the Netherlands for some time, is brought back to succeed him. His staff doesn't like him very much, because he turns out to be stubborn, blunt and very stubborn. Meanwhile, the ministry is faced with unconventional issues such as murder and manslaughter. To make matters worse, the minister has another, secret problem.
- The minister turns out to be involved in an accident in which someone is seriously injured. Monique and Raoul try to limit the damage, but Raoul finds out that the minister is hiding a big secret. In Santa Luca, two Dutchmen are waiting for their death penalty to be carried out. Maarten Meinema does everything he can to prevent that while he fights with his own demons.
- The pressure on the ministry is increasing, because at any moment two Dutchmen could be executed in Santa Luca. All the newspapers are full of the unfortunate behavior of the minister. The House of Representatives demands tough action and puts the knife to Meinema's throat. Raoul and Monique assist the minister as best as possible on their wedding day. Meanwhile, Maarten Meinema tries to keep his alcohol addiction under control.
- Minister Meinema has played the confidence of both the prime minister and his own party leader and must resign. Much to the chagrin of almost everyone, however, he wants to stay on and travel personally to Santa Luca to save the two Dutchmen from the noose. Every effort is made to avert a political crisis, but Monique and Raoul cannot agree on strategy. The big question is whether Meinema manages to stay off the drink.
- The KRO is about to celebrate the first twelve and a half years of Dutch television, but Ietje wants to dedicate the show to a good cause to honor her uncle Peter.
- It's 1963. Peter van Dijk is looking for a new television presenter and asks his two nieces if they are interested. Eef thinks she's perfect for the job, but when her father forbids it, she insists Ietje auditions so she can come along and try out as well.
- Ietje has been chosen to be the new TV presenter, even though she didn't really want the job and feels terrible about taking her sister Eefs dream job.
- While Ietje is becoming nationally famous, Peter manages to reunite the singing duo of Benno and Will, even if he has to sideline Benno's new, younger partner Annemarie to do so.
- Eef is pregnant, but her lover Rudy has been shipped overseas. When Ietje is asked to prepare questions and a short film item for the reunion of Benno and Will, she finds dramatic footage in the archive.
- The Benny and Will interview received a mix of reactions but still enough positive ones to discuss similar difficult subjects on TV. Will is inspired to write songs again while Eef is contemplating to put her unborn baby up for adoption.
- Benno and Will's comeback is cut short when he uncovers new information about their troubled past. Ietje is growing closer to cameraman Niek against her fathers wishes, and then finds out her ex-boyfriend Laurens is going to marry Eef.
- Peter is told by his doctor he hasn't got long to live and begins to say goodbye to friends and family. Ietje's father won't allow her and Niek to attend Eef's wedding.
