It turns out that Rahul is Prem and Preeti's son and that Prem has come to Dr.Amar for Rahul's treatment. Preeti's father had told her after the birth of the child that she had given birth to a still-born child. After Rahul's operation Preeti comes to know about the reality and confronts her father who confesses to her that he had lied about her giving birth to a dead child and asks her forgiveness but Preeti retorts saying that she an never forgive him as he had lied to her and thinks herself deceived by her own father. Rahul's operation turns to be successful and Preeti and Prem are reunited with their son along with their families.

Shivnath tracks Ramdas down, kills him, and is subsequently arrested and sentenced to prison for 14 years. He passes his time writing poems for Neena and hopes to see her one day when he gets released. Years later, he does get to see her in the prison yard along with her fiancé, Dr. Biren, who is the doctor attached to the prison, but finds that she loathes convicts. He hides his real identity from her, and she subsequently warms up to him and even talks with him about her dad. He also finds out that she is to be married soon. A day before her marriage, Shivnath has a stroke and is hospitalized. The next day he is told that the rest of his term has been pardoned and he is free to leave when he recovers. Shivnath insists on leaving immediately. Seriously ill, and facing the risk of being shunned by everyone will Shivnath make it to Neena's wedding in time?

When Ratanlal does not hear from him for 2 months, they ask Lakshman to go to Bombay and ensure that Prakash is alright. Upon arrival in Bombay, Lakshman finds out that Prakash has been arrested by the Police for killing a man named Kundan Kumar, he is subsequently found guilty, and sentenced to be hanged. Lakshman takes it upon himself to find out who actually killed Kundan, and dons the guise of Louis D'Souza and gets himself enrolled in the Serpent Gang. What Lakshman does not know is that the leader of this gang is Kumar, who is none other than Ram, and when he finds out he must make a choice - either to save Prakash from the gallows or turn his very own brother in - to be hanged until death.

Then several days later, Ashok returns home and he is not the same loving husband and father anymore. He decides to sell the business, has nothing to do with Munna and Laxmi, and asks them to take some money, while he returns to Bombay. Laxmi and Munna follow him to Bombay, but are unable to locate him. They are befriended by a petty thief and pickpocket by the name of Raja, who lives with a young street dancer named Rani and her dad, Baba. When Baba finds out that Laxmi may be related to Raja and that Munna may be their child, he asks them to leave the house. Raja then takes them to Ashok, and to Laxmi's shock she finds her once-loving husband living with another woman, much younger and prettier, by the name of Sangita. Watch what happens when Sangita asks Laxmi to be the maidservant, and Ashok refuses to recognize his wife and child.
- Rajguru (Sohrab Modi) decides that Jhansi should get its proper recognition in history. He comes across a young girl Manu (the young Rani Lakshmibai) played by Baby Shikha. Her father has been hit by a carriage driven by an English driver. She gathers a few children to confront the driver. This and her confrontation with an elephant impresses the Rajguru who takes her in hand, shaping her into becoming a determined leader. He arranges for her, at the age of nine, to marry the much-older ruler of Jhansi, Gangadhar Rao (Mubarak), who is about fifty years, and become Queen. Manu grows up under the expert tutelage of the Rajguru, learning physical combat and political administration. The older Manu now called Lakshmibai gives birth to a boy who dies. She adopts another boy Damodar Rao who the English refuse to accept as the rightful heir. This further sets her against the British. During the uprising of 1857 (1857 Mutiny) she fights against them succumbing to her injuries in the end.

Bharat overhears this, and goes along with Ram's plan to kill him. He then returns as Daku Mangal Singh, his look-alike, in order to set things right. Things seem to be going well, until Bharat finds himself in a tight corner when he is accused of killing himself.

- The story is set at a time when the East India Company was trying to establish its control, and most of the city states in Kerala had surrendered to the company. Sankara Varma (Nanukuttan), king of Kurumbranad, had also surrendered. Kerala Varma (Kottarakkara Sreedharan Nair), king of Pazhassi and nephew of Sankara Varma, fought against the company. Sankara Varma's niece Ammu Thampuratty (Rajasree, Gracy in the title cards) and nephew Unni (Boban) escape and seek refuge in Pazhassi Raja's palace. Tipu Sultan invades Malabar in an attempt to bring the city states that surrendered to the Company under his control. Unable to fight with the ferocious troops of Tipu Sultan, the East India Company (EIC) decide to have a treaty with Pazhassi Raja with whose support they hoped to defeat Tipu Sultan. Pazhassi's guerrilla warfare succeeds, and the EIC manage to free all the city states captured by Tipu Sultan. Pazhassi's crafty uncle convinces the Company authorities to allow him to collect the taxes in Kottayam. He goes on to declare that he is the real heir to the dynasty. Pazhassi Raja opposes this move. The EIC officer Wellesley (Satyapal) invites Pazhassi Raja to his bungalow to discuss the issue. Ammu Thampuratti and Unni, who reach the bungalow in disguise, inform Pazhassi about the treacherous plans of the EIC. When Pazhassi defies the EIC, they attempt to arrest him. The Kurichya archers of Pazhassi defeat this ploy and rescue their king. The troops capture Pazhassi Raja's palace. The Raja and his military commandants and attendants, Kaitheri Ambu (Dr. Chandraguptan), Kannavathu Nambiar (Prem Nazir), Unni Moosa (Sankaradi) and the Kurichya leader Chandu ( Vincent Chacko), escape to the dense Puralimala forests from where they begin guerrilla warfare against the East India Company. An official of the company, Baber (Satyan), who reaches Pazhassi's hideout with the help of Pazhayam Veedan (Kottayam Chellappan), is beaten up and sent back with a warning. The EIC decide to go all out against Pazhassi. A bitter struggle ensues. Pazhassi manages to recapture his palace. In the meanwhile, Baber takes custody of Pazhassi's wife, Maakkam (Sreedevi) and his infant son (Ponnumol). The war intensifies. The East India Company try all nasty tricks to defeat the Raja. They even set his palace on fire. Finally, Pazhassi Raja's men are beaten. The 'Lion of Kerala', as Pazhassi was popularly known, swallows his diamond ring and commits suicide.
