- During the Catalan independence referendum, Marie, a Dominican filmmaker, documents the cultural identity of Sory, a small business owner, single mother and lesbian. Despite becoming friends and after having agreed to being filmed from the outset, Sory turns away Marie's camera from the hair salon when her son migrates illegally to Spain. Marie returns to her country and turns the camera toward Lisset, Sory's daughter. Lisset has to decide whether to move to Barcelona with her mother or to stay in Santo Domingo with her children. Amid flags and polarized societies, Marie exposes a family divided by frontiers more complex than those set up by the water that surrounds the island.
- In Hospitalet, the periphery of Barcelona a group of friends live as community in various squat houses. Makoki, Marina and Guille guide us through their everyday live, pursuing a sustainable way of living. When they're not running the neighborhood's social center they are reconstructing their houses, gardening or even making their own beer. As a non hierarchical community, sometimes they struggle with the the different levels of commitment with essential chores that maintain their life style. While Marina, that is not conformed with her part-time job and is in search of her role in society, Makoki and Guille try to find their summer jobs. Although this money helps them maintain themselves through out the year, and able them to travel, they still face the doubt of which payed job to get, and how far they are willing to compromise their believes.
