- This project is a documentary about the European periphery through it's own voice. Ancestral voices that perpetuate the culture of the territories through their oral traditions. The documentary starts on the mines of Aljustrel, with the Cante Alentejano as the guarantor of a culture, it will pass through the Rimur Icelandic traditions as a unique form of communication that describes an isolated people, it will also evoque the Sami people of the Norwegian, Finnish and Swedish Lapland and their songs and stories with the Joik, it will follow the Lemko people from Ukraine and Poland with their unique music and culture and will end in Corsica and Sardinia with their characteristic Mediterranean songs which are usually connoted as songs of independence. The idea is to go around the periphery of Europe, evoking its diversity through collective identity and sonic unity, questioning concepts such as border or belonging.
