- DirectorGeorge PollockStarsMargaret RutherfordArthur KennedyMuriel PavlowWhen Miss Jane Marple reports witnessing a murder through the window of a passing train, the police dismiss her as a dotty spinster when no trace of the crime can be found.I like the way Marple and Inspector Craddock have this love/hate relationship in this movie and the other Marple movies.
- DirectorGeorge PollockStarsMargaret RutherfordLionel JeffriesCharles 'Bud' TingwellAfter Miss Jane Marple is made a trustee of a merchant marine training vessel, a fellow trustee is poisoned, and ship's officers are later murdered after she comes on board.Probably the only Miss Marple not created by Agatha Christie
- DirectorGeorge PollockStarsMargaret RutherfordRon MoodyCharles 'Bud' TingwellWhen Miss Jane Marple joins a theatrical company after a blackmailer is murdered, several members of the troupe are also dispatched by this mysterious killer.Margareth Rutherford surprises with her audition as actress within this movie. Shows she can more than you imagine
- DirectorGeorge PollockStarsMargaret RutherfordStringer DavisRobert MorleyWhen a wealthy old man appears to have been "frightened to death" by a cat, Miss Jane Marple suspects one of his four relatives, all heirs to his estate, of his murder.I think the best of the 4 Miss Marple's with Margareth Rutherford
- DirectorAlfred HitchcockStarsMontgomery CliftAnne BaxterKarl MaldenA priest, who comes under suspicion for murder, cannot clear his name without breaking the seal of the confessional. An amazing movie, Anne Baxter is great, but Montgomery makes you believe he is a real priest for life.
- DirectorAlfred HitchcockStarsMarlene DietrichJane WymanRichard ToddA struggling actress tries to help a friend prove his innocence after he's accused of murdering the husband of a high-society entertainer.Marlene Dietrich is great when she sings, but Jane Wyman impressed me for the first time. I didn't like her for her bitchy part in Falcon Crest, but here she did a great job
- DirectorAlfred HitchcockStarsRay MillandGrace KellyRobert CummingsA former tennis star arranges the murder of his adulterous wife.Even though on DVD not in 3D, I love the way Hitchcock added effects by placing his camera on special places to create the feeling that you are actually there.
- DirectorAlberto CavalcantiStarsTommy TrinderStanley HollowayBetty WarrenThe story of a 19th century English music hall (vaudeville) performer and life behind the scenes.Drinking and singing, a fun movie to watch
- DirectorFernando CerchioStarsDebra PagetEttore ManniErno CrisaCleopatra, after the civil war that followed the assassination of Caesar, met with Marc Antony in Assyria where they planned the defense of Egypt against the Romans. Before leaving, Cleopatra entrusted her young daughter, Shila, to the rulers of Assyria to be brought up as their own. After Marc Antony's defeat and Cleopatra's death, Egypt, for the next twenty years, was torn apart and ruled by a youthful Pharaoh, Nemorat, with his despot Queen Mother, Tegi, who desired to unite both kingdoms and strengthen her son's rule by conquering Assyria and making Shila, now a beautiful woman, his queen. One of the most rediculous movies ever made, but funny, I could sit it all out till the end.
- DirectorTanio BocciaStarsGianna Maria CanaleRik BattagliaIrène TuncCenturies ago in the Orient, the fiscal exactions on the people lead to a revolt against the usurper of the throne, and the empowerment of a new leader. It looks like all these Italian movies from the 60-ies where filmed at exactly the same locations, with the same flat mountains and same cave. Costume drama in it's worst
- DirectorGiacomo GentilomoStarsCameron MitchellEdmund PurdomIsabelle CoreyHarald and his brother Guntar return to Norway to find their father murdered and his throne usurped. They try to take revenge on Sveno, but a traitor amongst them puts both brother's lives at risk.Though the american dubbing is awfull, and parts of the movie have not much to do with Vikings at all, it is a reasonable movie, with a good plot. One of the few better B-Movies from Italy those years
- DirectorEmimmo SalviStarsGordon MitchellBruno PiergentiliBella CortezA rebel leader returns to his city for a final confrontation with the evil king he is fighting. However, he finds himself attracted to the king's beautiful niece. The english title changes Sinbad into Ali Baba, which is according to me the right name in the movie for the caracter (!), Ali Baba can't fight still he wins in the end. One of the worst movies ever seen, sometimes laughable though.
- DirectorBusby BerkeleyStarsJudy GarlandGeorge MurphyGene KellyTwo vaudeville performers fall in love, but find their relationship tested by the arrival of WWI.Great wartime musical.
- DirectorCurtis BernhardtStarsGuy WilliamsDon BurnettIlaria OcchiniPythias, a liberal Athenian who believes all men are brothers, is condemned to death by Dionysus, the tyrant of Syracuse, who finds this view dangerous. However, Dionysus allows Pythias to return to Athens to visit his ailing wife with the understanding he will then come back to face his punishment. Damon, a friend of Pythias, volunteers to be a hostage to guarantee Pythias's return. Dionysius doesn't expect Pythias to keep his end of the bargain, thus exposing the falsity of his beliefs.somewhat slow, somewhat boring, but still not badly played
- DirectorGeorge SidneyStarsJudy GarlandRay BolgerJohn HodiakOn a train trip West to become a mail-order bride, Susan Bradley (Judy Garland) meets a cheery crew of young women travelling out to open a "Harvey House" restaurant at a remote whistle-stop.So enjoyable, great songs, great humor, really worth watching
