- DirectorAndy MuschiettiStarsBill SkarsgårdJaeden MartellFinn WolfhardIn the summer of 1989, a group of bullied kids band together to destroy a shape-shifting monster, which disguises itself as a clown and preys on the children of Derry, their small Maine town. After finally watching the trailer, now this is my most anticipated movie of the year.
- DirectorRidley ScottStarsMichael FassbenderKatherine WaterstonBilly CrudupThe crew of a colony ship, bound for a remote planet, discover an uncharted paradise with a threat beyond their imagination, and must attempt a harrowing escape.I still have my hopes for this, even though the trailers are underwhelming.
- DirectorAlex GarlandStarsNatalie PortmanJennifer Jason LeighTessa ThompsonA biologist signs up for a dangerous, secret expedition into a mysterious zone where the laws of nature don't apply.I read the book, it could be describe a "biological horror". From The writer of 28 Days later and Ex Machina this has a potential of greatness.
- CreatorMark FrostDavid LynchStarsKyle MacLachlanSheryl LeeMichael HorsePicks up 25 years after the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town are stunned when their homecoming queen is murdered.Very intrigued as of what is going to be the premise of the series this time around. With David Lynch on board, anything is possible.
- DirectorDenis VilleneuveStarsHarrison FordRyan GoslingAna de ArmasYoung Blade Runner K's discovery of a long-buried secret leads him to track down former Blade Runner Rick Deckard, who's been missing for thirty years.Hard to live up to my expectations Blade Runner being my favorite movie ever.
- DirectorJeremy GillespieSteven KostanskiStarsAaron PooleKenneth WelshEllen WongShortly after delivering a patient to an understaffed hospital, a police officer experiences strange and violent occurrences seemingly linked to a group of mysterious hooded figures.Very Lovecraftian. I hope it strikes B-movie horror gold.
- DirectorLucrecia MartelStarsDaniel Giménez CachoLola DueñasMatheus NachtergaeleBased on the novel by Antonio Di Benedetto written in 1956, on Don Diego de Zama, a Spanish officer of the seventeenth century settled in Asunción, who awaits his transfer to Buenos Aires.Hopefully this will be as good or better than the rest of Lucrecia Martel's filmography. If so, it has the potential for a Foreign Oscar nomination.
- One of my favorite Philip K. Dick novels directed by Being John Malcovich's Michel Gondry seems to be a match made in heaven, if only the production budget allows a full development of the visual aspects of a story that takes place in a Blade Runner/Brazil type of universe.
