GOTHAM SEASON 4 RATINGS
This is not only the best season of the show, but the best "superhero" season ever after Arrow's s.2
This is the perfect combination of Nolan's The Dark Knight and Burton's Batman (something the show is trying to achieve since it's start)
The acting was outstanding here more than ever (Ben McKenzie, Sean Pertwee and David Mazouz absolutely shined). The characters are equally as amazing (Gordon and Bruce got though some pretty rough situations this season and so they became even more awesome characters). The new villains were great additions to the already phenomenal gallery of foes of this show (Scarecrow, Solomon Grundy and particularly Professor Pyg and Sofia Falcone). The returning villains were also excellent (especially Penguin and Gerome, who managed to win even after his death). Barbara, Tabitha and especially Selina were at their best. Alexander Siddig's Ra's al Ghul continues to be the most frightening and evil version of the character. On top of that the show gave us the perfect Poison Ivy (thanks to Peyton List), and a pitch perfect, gripping and chilling Joker, the best villain of the show (Cameron Monaghan's acting was Emmy material). The writing, direction, the pace, the action and the emotional scenes were top notch as well. About the whole "Lee and Riddler" thing, I admit that it was weird at first, but it slowly growed on me, Riddler had a ridiculous subplot this season, but it was very entertaining to watch. In fact the show's commitment to it's silliness and campiness is very admirable!!!!!
I couldn't finish without saying that the last two episodes are simply MASTERPIECES for the genre!!!!!!
Overall rating: 9.8/10
