The piece provokes political arguments among players and audience as to whether Bonaparte is a tyrant, or, as Beethoven believes, a liberator. The composer is also rejected by his former love, the recently widowed Josephine von Deym, though the visiting elder statesman of composers Haydn pays him a strange compliment. Leaving the gathering, Beethoven confesses to Ries that he is losing his hearing and later he reads that Bonaparte has declared himself the French emperor. This man fought to be loyal to himself. His music is a transparent portrait of his genius, intuition, freedom, adventure, and passion for Brazil. The story shows aging Villa-Lobos going to a gala concert in the Theatre of Rio de Janeiro for a tribute in his honor. This is the last time he is coming out of his house alive. His looks are feverish and attentive. Different scenes of the concert will bring back memories of his life. Villa-Lobos suffers a great many ordeals: his father's violence; his mother's sadness; his first wife Lucilia's disaffection, inability to have children, and rejection of his art; the possible loss of his great love Mindinha; and the abyss between genius and madness. The pieces of this puzzle recreated chronologically confirm his personality: energetic and fragile, humble and megalomaniac, amorous and egocentric, brilliant and naive, adventurous and independent, sensitive and brutal.

- StarsGabriella MarschekIván DarvasGéza D. HegedüsThe brilliant Austrian-Hungarian pianist Franz Liszt was a superstar. He was touring in Europe and giving piano recitals before European royalty and aristocracy. Overwhelming public attention caused complications in his personal life. Liszt had a lengthy affair with Marie D'Agoult, and they had three children. But on his tours in Russia, arranged by Count Vielgorskii, Liszt met the beautiful princess Carolyne Wittgenstein. She left her husband for Liszt. He composed the "Dream of Love", dedicated to her, and the piece became a classic hit. But the Chirch did not allow Liszt to marry princess Carolyne, because she did not terminate her first marriage, mainly for financial reasons. The unmarried couple moved to Weimar, where Liszt was the music director for the Royal orchestra. This became the most productive period in Liszt's life, when he composed his most important music. In 1860 Liszt settled in Rome together with Carolyne and continued attempts to terminate her marriage and marry him. But Carolyne could not terminate her marriage while her husband was alive.
