- DirectorWes CravenStarsHeather LangenkampRobert EnglundJf DavisA demonic force has chosen Freddy Krueger as its portal to the real world. Can Heather Langenkamp play the part of Nancy one last time and trap the evil trying to enter our world? The most realistic and best produced film of the series. Too many overlook this gem because it took a sidestep with regards to the rest of the series and Freddy's appearance. However, the acting, editing and score is fantastic. All-around solid picture.
- DirectorWes CravenStarsHeather LangenkampJohnny DeppRobert EnglundTeenager Nancy Thompson must uncover the dark truth concealed by her parents after she and her friends become targets of the spirit of a serial killer with a bladed glove in their dreams, in which if they die, it kills them in real life. The original, but not without the 80s cheese. The budget shows upon repeat viewings and the acting is only satisfactory. This is the one that started it and the luster of the dream sequences and certain scenes carry the film.
- DirectorRenny HarlinStarsRobert EnglundRodney EastmanJohn BeckmanFreddy Krueger returns once again to terrorize the dreams of the remaining Dream Warriors, as well as those of a young woman who may be able to defeat him for good. Also known as " Freddy meets MTV " this is the one with some of the best deaths in the franchise and although very mainstream, a memorable soundtrack for glam lovers.
- DirectorChuck RussellStarsHeather LangenkampRobert EnglundCraig WassonA psychiatrist familiar with knife-wielding dream demon Freddy Krueger helps teens at a mental hospital battle the killer who is invading their dreams. The acting is pretty abysmal. There's one death scene that is often cited as the best in the series but other than that and the new theory of fighting Freddy, it's largely mediocre.
- DirectorStephen HopkinsStarsRobert EnglundLisa WilcoxKelly Jo MinterThe pregnant Alice finds Freddy Krueger striking through the sleeping mind of her unborn child, hoping to be reborn into the real world. Not as bad as some fans try to make it out to be. Some memorable death scenes and good soundtrack. The story just gets to be too much at this point.
- DirectorJack SholderStarsRobert EnglundMark PattonKim MyersA teenage boy is haunted in his dreams by deceased child murderer Freddy Krueger, who is out to possess him in order to continue his reign of terror in the real world. The one that doesn't fit in with the timeline of the series at all and ignored by following sequels. Overall, not the worst in the series as seen below but fairly paltry where Freddy appears the least on screen. Although his appearance is the most terrifying, the film leaves a lot to be desired.
- DirectorRachel TalalayStarsRobert EnglundLisa ZaneShon GreenblattDream-haunting Freddy Krueger returns once again to prowl the nightmares of Springwood's last surviving teenager, and of a woman whose personal connection to Krueger may mean his doom.Crap editing, crap acting, terrible story and only one good death sequences (which is pretty good I admit). This really shouldn't have been made.
