- DirectorHarry JierjianStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeJane retreats into a treacherous place in her own mind called The Underground, where she encounters her many personas and dark traumas from her past.(9.6/10) An incredible episode that delves into Jane’s character, and different personalities, while greatly developing Cliff. This is a wonderful character piece for Jane, and an episode with real focus I wish we’d get more of. Add to the great production value, and acting this is one of, if not, the best episode of the series.
- DirectorCarol BankerStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeSilas and the team break into the Ant Farm to rescue Victor.(9.6/10) Incredible development for Cyborg, amazing twists, gloriously weird and hilarious, probably the perfect Doom Patrol episode. Mr. Nobody is amazing. Having the Doom Patrol finally working as a team was refreshing, and Cyborg’s twist with his dad heartbreaking.
- DirectorRebecca RodriguezStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeThe group prepares for one last stand against Mr. Nobody and rescue the Chief. Victor learns a hard truth.(9.5/10) The Chief’s shocking secret is finally revealed. Mr. Nobody continues to be an excellent villain. There’s more twists, and turns, hilarity and weirdness ensues, but most importantly the Doom Patrol has become a team, and they’ve all grown to accept themselves and each other, becoming the best versions of their current selves. This is just everything you’d hope from an episode of Doom Patrol and more.
- DirectorAmanda RowStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeTo prove her worth in the Underground, Jane brings Larry to the rural Arkansas to help her retrieve an invaluable item. Niles organises a special day for Dorothy while she hides a personal development from her father.(9.5/10) A brilliant episode which gives excellent development to all the characters, and sets up for a hopefully amazing finale.
- DirectorRob HardyStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeAfter a violent outburst from Cliff, the team engages in some self-led group therapy - leading to some growth within the group as they are knit closer together.(9.4/10) An episode that manages to effectively develop every character, with some truly emotional moments, and funny moments. It works so great because of its structure, going through each character’s perspectives of the main event, plus having a hilarious twist at the end. I really liked seeing the team finally talk to each other, and showing Cliff’s suffering. Probably one of my favorite more self contained episodes.
- DirectorGlen WinterStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyAlan TudykAfter a severe accident, Cliff Steele wakes up, a changed man, in the house of Dr. Niles Caulder and his Doom Patrol.(9.3/10) An amazing pilot that introduces us to every character effectively, and still manages to give some great development. It has shocking moments, funny moments, and truly emotional moments as well. Dr. Nobody seems like he’s going to be a great villain!
- DirectorWayne YipStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeLarry pays a visit to his long lost-love, while Cliff and Rita travel to Gator Country to reconnect with his daughter. Vic worries about his operating system.(9/10) The gut punch episode, where we see some great development for Cliff and Larry. It was great, but sad, for Larry to finally meet John again. I really liked Rita and Cliff’s interactions while meeting his daughter. To top it all off there’s some interesting revelations for Cyborg, and good interactions with Jane.
- DirectorDermott DownsStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeThe Chief has disappeared and the only clue that the team has to his whereabouts is an average donkey.(9/10) An episode that introduces us to a new great character with Cyborg, and further delves deeper into this excellent cast of characters, having more great and emotional moments. The poignant ending is one of my favorite moments in the series.
- DirectorT.J. ScottStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeRita tries to soothe Victor during a difficult time while the rest of the team finds Flex Mentallo and tries to help him regain his memory.(9/10) A bit uneven, but it has everything we love about Doom Patrol. Hilarious moments, dark moments, emotional moments. It gave us another strong character with Flex Mentallo, I really enjoyed his backstory, while finally revealing Rita’s dark secret, and setting up for an epic confrontation.
- DirectorKristin WindellStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeDorothy is missing. As Niles and Cliff are away searching for her, Larry deals with some ageless astronauts who returns from space. There's a funeral in the Underground. Vic discovers a connection between Roni and S.T.A.R. Labs.(9/10) A wonderful episode that deals with the ramifications of last episode quite well, and gives wonderful development for all the characters. Niles dealing with his bad parenting, with Robotman finally maturing and helping Dorothy come back. Larry dealing with ramifications of last episode, and meeting the Pioneers of the uncharted with Moscow, who is in harmony with her negative spirit. Cyborg learning his was funded by shady organizations. The town dealing with all the shenanigans that have happened last season, making it into a play where Rita is acting. Finally with some good set up for Jane, and a shocking, but questionable twist.
- DirectorGlen WinterStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeDorothy finds a new friend. Niles plans to give Cliff human-like upgrades. Larry brings Rita to meet his family after she has a lousy audition.(8.9/10) Another solid episode that really picks up at the end. There’s some really great moments with cliff, dealing with wanting to feel touch again, and his scenes with Cyborg were really good. Seeing Babydoll and Dorothy together was adorable, and it ended in a shockingly intense moment finally giving more direction to this season. Meanwhile Larry trying to build a relationship with his son, and once again having another brave and exceptional twist. The last 10 minutes or so of the episode really pick up what I felt was another average episode. Only thing that brings it down were some odd character moments, specifically with Silas Stone.
- DirectorRachel TalalayStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeThe Doom Patrol set out for Paraguay where they discover the Nazi doctor who created Mr. Nobody and the connection between the Chief and the two villains.(8.7/10) A bit uneven at times, but has incredible character moments, and truly hilarious moments throughout. The interactions between the characters continue to be great, and there’s some nice set up for the season. Probably one of the funnier episodes with impressive set design.
- DirectorChris ManleyStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeNiles, Jane, Cliff, Rita, Vic and Dorothy are still miniature-sized and Niles will have to sacrifice something precious to save the team.(8.7/10) A great season premiere introducing us to a great new character, Dorothy Spinner. There’s the comedy, weirdness, funny moments, and emotion you’d expect, with some nice twists for the rest of the season to explore, and creativity with the shrunken characters. It’s nice see the Doom Patrol accepting each other... at least a little more.
- DirectorChris ManleyStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeCliff and Victor come to an agreement while Jane, Rita, and Larry go in search of a mysterious team called the Doom Patrol.(8.6/10) Another poignant episode which gives more great backstory for characters and some set up, while also introducing the original Doom Patrol. Though having some filler, it’s a great episode, with some pretty great twists and intense moments too! Probably one of the more interesting episodes because of the original Doom Patrol. Love the title.
- DirectorSamira RadsiStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeNiles, Rita, and Larry end up in the inter-dimensional palace of Red Jack who has taken Larry prisoner; Cliff visits his daughter with Jane; Dorothy's game of hide-and-seek ends badly.(8.6/10) Another poignant episode with a great theme, which shows all of the characters struggles with mistakes they’ve done. Red Jack is a great villain for the episode, though his storyline is fillery. I loved the flashbacks with Larry and Rita. It has one of my favorite endings similar to Donkey Patrol. Pain Patrol is an appropriate name for the episode. There is some interesting set up for Jane.
- DirectorOmar MadhaStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeThe Dannyzens hold a party at the manor to try and bring Danny back.(8.5/10) Absolutely bonkers and fun. It was great to see the Dannyzens and Flex Mentallo back. The Sex Men were funny, loved the musical number, but this does feel like another fillery episode. The plot is slow moving with really only getting some set up for Dorothy, Rita, and Danny, but there were enough character moments throughout to still be great. I’m just hoping the plot starts to move forward.
- DirectorDermott DownsStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeThe team tries to cope with a hard truth as Mr. Nobody prepares for his final act of vengeance.(8.5/10) A weird finale, but not in the way you’d expect. As a whole somewhat disappointing, but still a strong episode that shows how the Doom Patrol tries to move on with their lives. I would’ve liked to see more repercussions for Chief’s secret though. Mr. Nobody’s conclusion is hilarious and satisfying.
- DirectorDermott DownsStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeA sentient, gender-queer, teleporting street, named Danny is being hunted by the secret Bureau of Normalcy and needs help from Niles - but gets Vic and Larry instead. Meanwhile, Rita and(8.5/10) Great introduction to Danny Patrol, and some really funny moments with Karen (one of Jane’s personalities) though mostly filler, but this episode shines with Danny The Street, and Larry. I absolutely loved the musical number.
- DirectorHarry JierjianStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeCliff, Jane and Rita pursue Dr. Tyme and his time altering mineral, in their quest to help Niles and Dorothy; Vic meets Roni, a military vet who challenges his beliefs; Larry comes face-to-face with his past at a funeral.(8.4/10) With the Doom Patrol back to normal this episode shows us the characters having to deal with their futures. There’s some good character moments throughout. A nice introduction to Roni. Tyme was a fun villain. It was nice to see more repercussions for Chief’s secret. Larry meeting his sons was depressing, but it carried most of the episode for me. Overall a weaker episode, with a lack of focus.
- DirectorLarry TengStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeMr. Nobody decides to interfere with the Decreator's prophecy with the help of Niles Caulder.(8.3/10) A follow up with the storyline from last episode, with some good Jane backstory, and more good moments with Rita, which I enjoyed. Dr. Harrison is a cool personality. More Dr. Nobody is always great. However, this episode does feel a bit uneven at times.
- DirectorChris ManleyStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeThe Doom Patrol must confront their childhood imaginary friends before they face The Candlemaker. Meanwhile Dorothy must make a fateful choice.(8.3/10) Another weak finally that feels rushed. This isn’t to say this isn’t a good episode? It’s still pretty great. It was great to see the Doom Patrol back together as a team, and all dealing with their imaginary friends. Miranda’s backstory was okay, I just feel like it took up too much time though. The cliff hanger is decent considering we couldn’t get the proper finale because of the pandemic, but it honestly doesn’t leave me that excited for the next season despite adoring this show. Overall it was still a good episode, but as a finale it’s definitely disappointing, and it could’ve been better.
- DirectorStefan PleszczynskiStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeWilloughby Kipling conscripts the Doom Patrol into helping him avert the end of the world by stopping a nihilistic cult.(8.3/10) Slows down a bit, but still has enough character moments, especially between Cliff and Jane, or Rita, to make this another great episode. Also Kippling was cool addition. A lower end episode, but still having everything to love from this series.
- DirectorJessica LowreyStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeMiranda helps protect the Doom Patrol after a mysterious package arrives at the manor. Rita's visit to a beekeeper leads her to confront her past. Niles travels North to find Dorothy's mother.(8/10) Definitely one of the weakest episodes, but just hilarious. Seeing some the Doom Patrol being dumb was consistently funny. That beard hunter cameo was great. There was some good set up for the characters like Robotman and Rita, but apart from that this mostly felt like filler.
- DirectorSalli Richardson-WhitfieldStarsDiane GuerreroApril BowlbyJoivan WadeVic and Rita face a dangerous man known as the Beard Hunter, who has been activated by the Bureau of Normalcy to find Niles Caulder.(8/10) Definitely the weakest episode of the series, but Beard Hunter is hilarious. It feels somewhat like a filler episode, but there’s some interesting set up for Cyborg, and some nice backstory for Niles. Just a lot of fun.
