O cinema Pós-Neorrealista se desenvolveu na Itália a partir da segunda metade dos anos 1950 e durou até 1966. Os cineastas italianos retomaram vários dos temas da época Neorrealista (Resistência, Segunda Guerra Mundial), mas em um contexto histórico distinto, quando a Itália vivia um 'Milagre Econômico'. Os filmes também eram produzidos em estúdios, com bom acabamento técnico, e com atores profissionais.
