- DirectorGeorge GordonStarsTex AveryPinto ColvigThe tree surgeon (a horse) races to the giant sequoia, which isn't feeling well. His techniques, though, seem better suited to treating a person. First, the tree sticks out its tongue (really a squirrel's tail); he takes the temperature, but actually gets his thermometer roasted by a snoring owl. He prepares to inject "vitamin tree-B" but the tree shakes him out; he injects himself by accident and sprouts branches and roots and becomes a nesting place for birds and squirrels. Finally, spotting a syringe of weed killer, with great effort he injects himself. Back to the tree, using suction cups; a termite is busy at work. Using suction brings it out only briefly. The termite gas hose gets snaked back outside, so the horse gasses himself and falls off onto the tree hypo, again. The termite, seeing the commotion, bails and prepares to attack his new host.

Stranger tries to sneak in, but they sneak behind him and steal his guns; he ends up tied to a barrel of gunpowder as the bad guys ride off to rob the stagecoach (announced by another telegram). Lonesome keeps calling for his horse, who is also tied up; the gunpowder goes off like a rocket, sending him crashing right into the gang (and stripping off his pants).
- DirectorRudolf IsingStarsBilly BletcherMelvin J. GibbyRudolf IsingTo the sound of the title song being sung by a campfire, a cow and her calf are bedding down for the night. The calf is frightened by a shadow, until it's revealed to be a jackrabbit. He follows the rabbit deep into the woods, but neither of them notices the wolf following until it's too late for the calf. The calf is trapped in a niche under some rocks, which the wolf quickly digs out. The wolf is closing in on the calf when the rabbit tries to distract him, to no avail. The rabbit bounds off in search of the calf's mother, while the other animals use a porcupine like a battering ram. This buys enough time for the calf to run for home, just as the rabbit and cow are closing in. One look and the wolf runs off, and everyone heads home, with the calf looking back to thank the rabbit, whose ears clasp together above his head in victory.
