A tramp, who turns out to be Rena's long-lost father, steals the option from the crooks, and Rena obtains evidence that clears her father of a scheme in which he had innocently been involved. Freed by the police, Bob boards the train, is lifted from the roof of the speeding train by an airplane, and arrives at the field in time to save his team from defeat.

Duke learns of their scheme and forces him to buy the cattle at its full market value. As retribution, Stinson robs Duke and leaves him in the desert to die, but the foreman catches a stray horse and returns to the ranch. Stinson convinces Bess and Harold to return East with him, claiming that Duke has stolen their money and escaped into Mexico. As the train leaves the station, Duke gives chase and subdues Stinson, winning Bess for himself.

Meanwhile, Milton discovers that the container did not contain poison and that Dwight will die if he takes the antidote, so he and Jane pursue Dwight until they find him in Spain, where the lovers are united.

The Kid keeps Aitken from paying, and when Mary's accomplice is murdered he takes the blame, but later he proves himself innocent. Aitken departs for the East, leaving the field free to the Kid and Alys.
