- DirectorJoe JohnstonStarsChris EvansHugo WeavingSamuel L. JacksonSteve Rogers, a rejected military soldier, transforms into Captain America after taking a dose of a "Super-Soldier serum". But being Captain America comes at a price as he attempts to take down a warmonger and a terrorist organization.Such an amazing opening of the MCU
Brings clarity to the story and the timeline
We understand where Steve's character comes from and what makes him the Captain not just of America, but of The Avangers.
Fight scenes are good, not so much suspenseful but the ending is one of my favourite movie endings of all time - I was not expecting it and was quite emotional - All he wanted was to dance with Peggy... - DirectorAnna BodenRyan FleckStarsBrie LarsonSamuel L. JacksonBen MendelsohnCarol Danvers becomes one of the universe's most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.I liked it!
I know, ''real fans'' or fanatic film people would dislike this movie from a lot of angles, making a female the strongest of the Marvel Universe in a picture with visual effects edited to the MAX, some goofs here and there about the year the action was happening and what we see available in some scenes where in reality it wasn't possible at the time, also the film story might be litle mismatched with the Comic-Book, but still I'm glad they made it and I think it adds up to the MCU timeline quite well.
She's far away from my personal favourite superheros list but she is Stan Lee creation and deserves to be expressed as she is.
Most funny scene: When Fury get's his so mysterious eye scratch - DirectorLouis LeterrierStarsEdward NortonLiv TylerTim RothBruce Banner, a scientist on the run from the U.S. Government, must find a cure for the monster he turns into whenever he loses his temper.*SMASHing*
Visual effects are beautiful considering when it came out too, extra credit for that!
It really does bring you back to the comics and the cartoon where Bruce was having so many attempts of curing himself from The Hulk, failing everytime but never giving up on himself or the people. - DirectorJon FavreauStarsRobert Downey Jr.Gwyneth PaltrowTerrence HowardAfter being held captive in an Afghan cave, billionaire engineer Tony Stark creates a unique weaponized suit of armor to fight evil.Way to go! When did they stop adding cool soundtracks in movies man?
They did a great job making a Baddass picture, where action is nicely combined with pulsating soundtracks, good ones too.
Not only this made me enjoy it, but how they added Tony Stark to the MCU timeline was spot-on.
Robert Downey was made for this role, we all know it, he owns it, I love it! - DirectorJon FavreauStarsRobert Downey Jr.Mickey RourkeGwyneth PaltrowWith the world now aware of his identity as Iron Man, Tony Stark must contend with both his declining health and a vengeful mad man with ties to his father's legacy.*Let's Go!*
First one was just alright, but being the first real Marvel Superhero movie that came out at that time was AWESOME.
But man they improved with the 2nd one a lot, I liked how the character of Tony Stark develops, I simply LOVE the music soundtracks, feels like Robert Downey chose the tracks himself, action and fighting scenes are way better than the 1st one, better humour, more funny scenes, great ideea bringing Elon Musk in one scene.
Only one thing I tought maybe they could've done better was the villain, it was just too easy, but I get it, it had Stark History behind - DirectorKenneth BranaghStarsChris HemsworthAnthony HopkinsNatalie PortmanThe powerful but arrogant god Thor is cast out of Asgard to live amongst humans in Midgard (Earth), where he soon becomes one of their finest defenders.Powerful Family Dynamic and Beautiful Landscape
Troughout the movie I found myself touched by heroism acts several times, the cheesy script got me tbh.
FANTASTIC to have Anthony Hopkins in the role of Odin, Marvel had to bring someone of his level to the set at some point, well done!
I find Loki an interesting creature, an honest counselor, a liar, a cautious thinker, a smooth tongue, these are amazing traits, could they be enough in an Universe such as Marvel? - DirectorJoss WhedonStarsRobert Downey Jr.Chris EvansScarlett JohanssonEarth's mightiest heroes must come together and learn to fight as a team if they are going to stop the mischievous Loki and his alien army from enslaving humanity.A movie to be savored! Especially for Marvel fans!
Great plot, at some point I really didn't know how will they be able to make it.
AWESOME combination of characters and their personality, espacially Thor and Hulk, very funny and you can't bring them down.
I love how it brings better to light many of the characters traits and where do they stand in this hierarchy.
Also, watching them chronologically in the order of events, this film has the best picture and graphics so far.
*Put on your suit* and be amazed! - DirectorShane BlackStarsRobert Downey Jr.Guy PearceGwyneth PaltrowWhen Tony Stark's world is torn apart by a formidable terrorist called the Mandarin, he starts an odyssey of rebuilding and retribution.I don't know...I want to say I liked it and enjoyed it as much as the first two, but the more I think about it, I realise Pepper had better action scenes than Tony wearing the suit in this movie.
I like that it shows the audience how his personality develops and why he has become Iron Man. Yea, sure it was the circumstances too, but it's his personality issues, we knew of his huge ego before, but now I understand, he always wanted to be the savior or in the centre of attention, even when he denied it, but as he fights his way out of it, he realized, is the man that makes the suit. - DirectorAlan TaylorStarsChris HemsworthNatalie PortmanTom HiddlestonWhen the Dark Elves attempt to plunge the universe into darkness, Thor must embark on a perilous and personal journey that will reunite him with doctor Jane Foster.*THOR ROCKS*
Slightly better than the 1st one.
Loki continues to impress me.
Friggas moment and the impact it made was quite emotional.
Also, watching MCU chronologically in the order of events, the Dark Elves with their Aether are the coolest Supervillains so far. - Only because at this ponit I don't know if Loki is a villain still. - DirectorSam RaimiStarsTobey MaguireKirsten DunstWillem DafoeAfter being bitten by a genetically-modified spider, a shy teenager gains spider-like abilities that he uses to fight injustice as a masked superhero and face a vengeful enemy. One of my favourite superhero movies of all time.
Also, the first Marvel production to have made a real impact on the audience
The scene in the car with Peter and Uncle Ben and his long lasting advice still breaks my heart when thinking about it...
Really impacted my childhood this movie. - CreatorScott BuckStarsAnson MountSerinda SwanKen LeungAn isolated community of superhumans fight to protect themselves. Why is there not a season two? LoL
I understand this show lost good money, but I enjoyed it. I don't know, after the first episode I did a bit of homework, next thing I know is this species of humans made by the Kree that I never knew about and goes back since '65, and I appreciate their initiative to bring it to live-action TV.
And let's go, Lockjaw! Haha
Despite all the bad critics and reviews I think the acting was not bad, especially when you don't say a word the whole time... just saying...
Also I think Medusa made a baddass queen, even without her prehensile hair, which btw She maintains this control even when the hair has been cut from her head. It is believed that her hair cannot be cut or broken without her allowing it, so probably that's where you went wrong ABC...
But to be fair, I've seen comic book based mini series worst than this and had more than one season. - DirectorMark Steven JohnsonStarsNicolas CageEva MendesSam ElliottWhen motorcycle rider Johnny Blaze sells his soul to the Devil to save his father's life, he is transformed into the Ghost Rider, the Devil's own bounty hunter, and is sent to hunt down sinners.Feels like the Ghost Rider deserved a lot more than this.
I personally really like the characters of the Riders and the background is so rich, it was brought up here and there in the movie, but only if they would've focused more and expanding one area of it.
Besides the awkward acting at times and Nicolas strange Texan accent, is quite an entertaining but very cheesy picture, with cool action scenes, interesting Marvel based characters and Sam Elliott with Nicolas Cage make quite a team.
Hell of a Ride! - DirectorFrancis LawrenceStarsKeanu ReevesRachel WeiszDjimon HounsouSupernatural exorcist and demonologist John Constantine helps a policewoman prove her sister's death was not a suicide, but something more.Well done, loved it, probably the best exorcist movie I've ever seen.
Banging tools and weapons, creepy as fuck the representation of Hell, very good cinematics and camera action, impactful scenes too. Great dialogues and acting, got to love Keanu Reeves.
Much better than what marvel did with Ghost Rider in pretty much the same year or so. - DirectorTodd PhillipsStarsJoaquin PhoenixRobert De NiroZazie BeetzDuring the 1980s, a failed stand-up comedian is driven insane and turns to a life of crime and chaos in Gotham City while becoming an infamous psychopathic crime figure.*SOMETHING DIFFERENT*
Put on a happy face, and enjoy a performance to be remembered!
Joaquin Phoenix pushes the limit in a time where we thought we've already seen the best Joker (Heath Ledger) and he does it uniquely
I really enjoyed to find out how did the Joker all started and just his act itself was eye-candy. He had that charisma where every move he made was holding the viewer attention even if it was just a blink
Very dark background and, can anybody be more alone than Joker? - CreatorDrew GoddardStarsCharlie CoxVincent D'OnofrioDeborah Ann WollA blind lawyer by day, vigilante by night. Matt Murdock fights the crime of New York as Daredevil.DAREDEVIL, THE REAL ''DARK KNIGHT'' OF MARVEL*
...in a way, anyways...
A pretty damn good show, script is full of intense plots and I was surprised about the fighting scenes which are pretty sick I'm not gunna lie, that's why I added it on this list and not fantasy/superheroes, it's way more darker than anything from MCU that I've seen to this point
I still remember a few good quotes from the series:
''Don't you get it? we're all broken, the point is to find that someone with their broken pieces fits with yours''
''Whatever you have done or haven't done, it can still be redeemed''
Also, I love the cinematics from the credits, waited to see the suit so damn long and the way characters develop was interesting
Got to say, Fisk is a heck of a villain!
Kingpin, ''Joker'' of Marvel. - CreatorSteve LightfootStarsJon BernthalAmber Rose RevahBen BarnesAfter his revenge on those who murdered his family, aimless Marine veteran Frank Castle finds a new meaning in life as a vigilante known as "The Punisher".I WAS REALLY ENJOYING IT !
I think was very well done, after watching Daredevil first, Frank's story made so much more sense
The amount of violence in this show is mad, and the scenes where they repair their injuries were so real and made me feel weak at times lol, same like in Daredevil
These Netflix Marvel Productions are more realistic which I like and because they are series, the script is like reading the comics, almost
Shout out to the music production, Tyler Bates nailed it! - CreatorCheo Hodari CokerStarsMike ColterSimone MissickTheo RossiWhen a sabotaged experiment gives him super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage becomes a fugitive attempting to rebuild his life in Harlem and must confront his past and fight a battle for the heart of his city.*SWEET CHRISTMAS*
''Power man'' The Bulletproof Man, indestructible from the outside...and sometimes, his heart can be softer than his skin is tough, and Mike Colter fits great in this role making the first Luke Cage picture very promising
Marvel brings us to Harlem this time, making it really unique not just with the powerful and legendary soundtrack, live band performances, surprised guests lol, but the characters are fitting in the frame so well, with villains from a different time and era offering another perspective of what a villain could be
And shout-out to Black Mariah, that bitch...
Alfre Woodard done quite a performance in this show. - CreatorMelissa RosenbergStarsKrysten RitterRachael TaylorEka DarvilleFollowing the tragic end of her brief superhero career, Jessica Jones tries to rebuild her life as a private investigator, dealing with cases involving people with remarkable abilities in New York City.*AKA Brilliant!*
Krysten Ritter was absolutely fantastic as Jessica Jones! I recognised her from Br Ba the first second saw her on the screen.
We had a truly terrifying villain, David Tennant's performance truly followed up.
Also Carrie-Anne Moss (Hogarth) had impactful scenes too, shows again what a great actress she is.
I loved how they brought Hellcat as her sister, and Luke Cage in season 1 and last episode of 3. Also Dorothy and Malcolm are Marvel characters and they fitted great in their role and the universe dynamic. I think it shows how much work has been put in the production.
And I must say, I paid enough attention to see the one scene with Stan Lee reference, lol, a picture of him on a bus, or a bus station as Jessica was walking inside a building.
Dark, humorous, thrilling, dirty and emotional, a must watch even if you don't really fancy Marvel that much, is something else. - CreatorBruno HellerStarsBen McKenzieJada Pinkett SmithDonal LogueThe story behind Detective James Gordon's rise to prominence in Gotham City in the years before Batman's arrival.*WHAT A SHOW*
Almost like watching a theatre play
Intense plots, interesting actors fitting in their role great, every episode was entertaining.
First time diving into DC pictures and I feel this show fits nice into the Universe, even tough I understand some events or characters are not introduced like we know from the comics, but everything about it it's so Batman even without Batman in the show: The sets, city scape views, costumes really gives the Gotham vibes and chills I know from the cartoons and games.
Robin Taylor levelled this show up with his performance and put Penguin on my list of Top comic book Villains
And Morena Baccarin, what a beauty...and she's married to Ben McKenzie, that makes me so happy! - CreatorGreg BerlantiAkiva GoldsmanGeoff JohnsStarsBrenton ThwaitesAnna DiopRyan PotterDick and Rachel, a girl possessed by a strange darkness, get embroiled in a conspiracy that could bring Hell on Earth. Joining them along the way are the hot-headed Starfire and lovable Beast Boy. Together they become a team of heroes.Haha, I remember I kept watching this till the end as I was hoping it would get better at some point. Lol
But that's just simply one man's opinion, nothing more, is produced well enough to have fans all around but not me. I was fan of the cartoon and it simply doesn't resembles it at all; In this show I saw a bunch of kids trying to figure themselves out and being over dramatic on shit.
The real Teen Titans were a real team, they were funny, had unique personalities and their team dynamic was simply outstanding. But here they were beating themselves and each other up. - DirectorMatt ReevesStarsRobert PattinsonZoë KravitzJeffrey WrightWhen a sadistic serial killer begins murdering key political figures in Gotham, Batman is forced to investigate the city's hidden corruption and question his family's involvement.A great DC inspired movie. Is dark, gritty, melodramatic, dirty too.
Also a great representation of Gotham if you ask me, The Penguin nailed it in the car chase scene. Veeeengeeaance!!!!
Probably the worst Batman ever, not the actor/acting not at all, but the script itself, Batman in this movie it resembles more a 'real life street Batman, I mean come on, the Bat-mobile was a Chevrolet Camaro, and he got his ass kicked almost every time.
But I loved it! Is a masterpiece of a movie! Another one of my 2022 favourites. - CreatorNeil GaimanDavid S. GoyerAllan HeinbergStarsTom SturridgeBoyd HolbrookPatton OswaltUpon escaping after decades of imprisonment by a mortal wizard, Dream, the personification of dreams, sets about to reclaim his lost equipment.I enjoyed the first season quite a bit.
I keep hearing and reading that it nosed dived from episode six. I don't feel like that but I'm not a movie critic, I can only recommend it because of why I liked it: The magic and mystery of The Endless is pretty interesting, reminded me of American Gods and when I realised is the same writer I was impressed by my own sense of observation.
The episode in the cafeteria amazed me of how good the satire was on this greedy aspect of humanity of desiring all sorts of things, not realising the consequences of that to happen.
I'll be waiting for season two. - DirectorRuben FleischerStarsTom HardyMichelle WilliamsRiz AhmedA failed reporter is bonded to an alien entity, one of many symbiotes who have invaded Earth. But the being takes a liking to Earth and decides to protect it.Tom Hardy does Edie Brock so cool.
