Every Christopher Nolan Film Ranked from Good to Best, Director of the Most-Anticipated Film ‘Tenet’
Photo: Christopher Nolan while directing 'Inception'/Melissa Moseley Christopher Nolan is one of the most beloved directors of the century and so happens to be my personal favorite, cultivating my love for film and hope of becoming a director. As most know, Tenet is 2020’s most anticipated film release but more importantly, is a theatrical film that will likely dictate the rest of the year because of Covid’s impact on the industry. Between sci-fi, superhero adaptations, and unique spins on historical events, Nolan’s resume rivals the best ever and shows no signs of slowing down. As Tenet fast approaches, wouldn’t it be fun to rank every Nolan project thus far? Note: my list isn’t the objective list, it’s just my list. We all have different opinions on art, the list below represents mine. Christopher Nolan's Films Ranked From Good To Worst: 10. Following A neo-noir crime film,...

Netflix has released a trailer for its new original series, "Grace and Frankie," starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin as the titular women whose lives are turned upside down by a shocking revelation.
The women are blindsided when their husbands (Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston) tell them that they are gay, and are leaving their wives for each other. They want to get married, Sheen's character explains, "'Cause we can do that now."
"I know, I hosted that fundraiser," a frustrated Frankie replies.
Plenty of hijinks ensue, including Sheen and Waterston trying to explain their relationship -- they're both partners at a law firm, and life partners -- to confused friends and relatives. One of Grace's daughters (Brooklyn Decker) assures her that they'll find someone for her to talk to about her feelings, while the other (June Diane Raphael) wonders if a support group "for wives of husbands who turned...

Jennifer Lopez, What to Expect When You’re Expecting Still going strong, The Avengers is on its third weekend out. Yet, the domestic box office is expected to be down 18% compared to last year because of three weak new entries: Peter Berg / Taylor Kitsch’s megabudgeted Battleship barely managed to stay afloat on Friday, while Sacha Baron Cohen‘s The Dictator (which opened on Wed.) and Kirk Jones’ all-star ensemble (Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, Chace Crawford, etc.) What to Expect When You’re Expecting performed below expectations. [See Box Office: Battleship bombs.] The Dictator grossed an estimated $5.5m at 3,008 theaters on Friday, for an expected weekend total of $16m, as per Deadline.com. Sacha Baron Cohen’s R-rated comedy will thus reach a cume of $23m after five days. For comparison’s sake, Bruno — which was considered a major box-office disappointment following Borat — opened with $30.61m on its first weekend out in July 2009. Supporting Baron...

As if the film's title weren't explanation enough, "What to Expect When You're Expecting" is all about what couples experience during pregnancy, based on the best-selling nonfiction book of the same name.
Because the subject is a complex, loaded and almost universal one, when MTV News sat down with the castmembers from the film, we asked them to enlighten us with the most unique facts they learned about pregnancy during production.
"I think the weirdest thing I've seen — I've actually seen it — is a woman getting on her hands and knees giving birth," Matthew Morrison said. "It's interesting, because you think about a woman [lying on her back] and pushing, but honestly, if you let gravity do the work, it makes it a little easier.

If you couldn’t tell by our review, cover, and our endless PopWatch items, we here at EW loved Inception and its mind-bending, trippy aftershock. Though most fans were focused on the film’s puzzles, mind games, and the how’d-they-do-it stunts, I found myself honing in on something completely different: the film’s style.
Not trendy, yet not dated, Inception had a timeless aesthetic that constantly kept me guessing about the time period. For every almost vintage-looking dress, there was a blue jeans outfit; for every 70s-style leather jacket, there was a slick suit reminiscent of today’s streamlined fit.

Chicago – There are a number of choices for your Halloween movie dollar this season including “Saw VI” and “Paranormal Activity” in theaters and new Blu-Ray editions of “Audition” and this year’s “Orphan” and Sam Raimi’s great “Drag Me to Hell”. Universal has packaged Raimi’s glorious return to the genre that made him a star with a gorgeous video and audio treatment but lackluster special features. The movie deserves a bit better.
Blu-Ray Rating: 3.5/5.0
It deserved better at the box office as well. With so many awful horror films out there, how did one that was so critically acclaimed barely make a dent at the box office? It makes no sense. All I can assume is that hardcore genre junkies stayed away because of the PG-13 rating, assuming that this gleefully gory flick had been toned down for the masses. That was a mistake. Seeing “Drag” with a full,...

Rating: 3.5/5.0 Chicago – The gleefully gory Sam Raimi who made “Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn” and “Darkman” is back in close to prime form with this week’s thoroughly enjoyable “Drag Me To Hell,” a horror thrill ride almost certain to satisfy any audience member willing to choose a movie with “Hell” in the title over the latest Pixar offering.
“Drag Me To Hell” delivers on expectations even if it doesn’t quiet exceed them to become a true horror classic. With tighter editing, a stronger lead, and a few more surprising twists in the screenplay, “Drag Me To Hell” could have been something truly remarkable, although with the state of the horror genre, just being as good as it is will be more than enough for most fans.
