- Alec Von Bargen, also known as Alec Von, was born in New York City but grew up in England and Mexico. After studying acting and working on several shows for London's BBC, Alec completed his BA in Dramatic Arts in Mexico City. - Alec Von Bargen was born in New York City and studied Dramatic Arts, Art History and Photography. After years of a successful run in Mexican and Latin-American television, theater and film productions (and garnishing several international awards), his breakthrough into the US market came with Gary Walkow's film 'Beat' alongside Courtney Love, Norman Reedus and Kiefer Sutherland. He has worked as an actor in productions screened at the Cannes, Berlin and Sundance film festivals, helmed by the likes of Robert de Niro, Francis Ford Coppola, Gary Walkow, Salim Nayar and Gabriel Beristain, among others.
He adapted the award-winning stage production of 'Closet Land' (winner of Mexico's FONCA grant) and wrote Tarantàta (Onassis Playwriting Competition Finalist, Greece). He also starred for over a year in Sabina Berman's 'Muerte Súbita' (Sudden Death) alongside Nailea Norvind and Alberto Estrella at the Foro Shakespeare Theatre in Mexico City.
Alec is also a well-established visual artist.
