Last summer, a report that Ben Affleck was spotted on the set of Marvel Studios' Deadpool and Wolverine did the rounds online.
Since it had already been confirmed that the R-rated threequel would include a bit of Multiversal madness and a few cameos (we now know it'll be more than a few), this understandably led to speculation that Affleck might be set to make an appearance as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, and the news that Jennifer Garner's Elektra will be involved only added fuel to the fire.
Affleck returning as the Man Without Fear always did seem unlikely, since the actor has never looked back particularly fondly on his time as the Hell's Kitchen vigilante That said, he's always had a sense of humor about it at the same time, so a fun cameo wouldn't have been too big a stretch.
Now, Daniel Richtman is reporting that Affleck definitely won't...

Zack Snyder’s Dceu received praise for its boldness but also faced criticism, particularly for actor choices and creative liberties with the source material.
In a recent interview with Happy, Sad, Confused, Snyder expressed his determination to continue despite the Dceu’s reboot. He still has his sights set on several comic book movies he’d like to tackle.
During the interview, Snyder disclosed that he came close to directing the Wolverine movie but remains open to the idea, asserting he “could for sure do that.” However, finding the right actor poses a challenge, a sentiment many would agree with.
Surprisingly, he expressed interest in adapting Elektra to live-action. Despite the character’s appearance in previous projects, Elektra’s solo movie was poorly received and nearly derailed Jennifer Garner’s career. Additionally, Snyder reiterated his readiness to direct ‘The Dark Knight Returns.’

Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds first shared the screen in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but Logan and Wade Wilson's first true team-up will take place in this summer's Deadpool & Wolverine.
However, despite the shared title, Ryan Reynolds tells Empire Online to expect "the most Deadpool movie in the history of Deadpool." That doesn't mean he hasn't had the time of his life working with Jackman as these iconic Marvel superheroes, though!
"As much as I take the ever-loving f*cking piss out of him each and every day, underneath that is a genuine love story," the actor says, explaining that their camaraderie bled into the relationship between Deadpool and Wolverine.
"As adversarial as we are in the movie, the undercurrent is one of real love," Reynolds adds. "Getting to spend time with my two closest friends, and waking up in the morning with a passionate devotion to say something so...

Following the release of that awesome second trailer, Marvel Studios has started ramping up its Deadpool & Wolverine promotion in a big way. Today, that comes in the form of two new Empire Magazine covers.
The first features never-before-seen shots of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman suited up, though the latter still doesn't have his mask on.
It's interesting that Marvel Studios is making an effort to put Jackman's face front and centre in marketing, but seems happy to cover up Reynolds'. The fact Wade Wilson is horribly scarred is no doubt part of the reason, though this also speaks to the popularity of the Merc with the Mouth and the fact the character alone is a major selling point.
Joining them on the cover is the weirdly adorable Dogpool.
We also have a second cover featuring a suitably wacky cartoon take on the trio, and Wolverine does don a mask for that piece.

We've been hearing rumours for months that Wesley Snipes will return as Blade, and it was earlier this week that we learned the actor has indeed signed up for a future MCU appearance.
While X-Men and Spider-Man typically get the lion's share of credit for bringing superheroes back to theaters, Blade and Blade II arguably kickstarted the genre's return to prominence in the early 2000s. With that in mind, we find it easy to imagine Marvel Studios being keen to give Snipes the chance to bid farewell to the Daywalker after the disaster that was Blade: Trinity.
According to a rumour shared by scooper @MyTimeToShineH, Snipes has agreed to reprise his role as Blade in Deadpool & Wolverine.
This makes more sense than the next Avengers movies as Mahershala Ali should have appeared in the Blade reboot by then. It's also worth remembering that Snipes and Ryan Reynolds have a history on screen.

The box office has never quite managed to recover from the pandemic, meaning $1 billion box office hits are no longer the norm. All eyes are on Deadpool & Wolverine to "save" this summer, and early buzz in that respect is very positive.
According to Deadline, "many are putting pressure on this movie to be the belle of the ball," with the threequel booking in a three-week run on IMAX screens. That's said to be the "longest hold of any title this summer," all but guaranteeing Deadpool & Wolverine will be a hit.
Unfortunately, the trade doesn't share any specific numbers, but it's going to be a while before the movie hits tracking boards. The R-Rating won't necessarily have a negative impact either, something that's evident from the success of the previous Deadpool movies, Logan, and Joker.
A new Deadpool & Wolverine still has also been released which offers a detailed...

Deadpool & Wolverine is rapidly approaching and new promo art from the movie puts the Merc with the Mouth and his bonkers Variants front and centre.
We have hi-res shots of Kidpool, Babypool, Dogpool, and Headpool (who is rumoured to be the severed head of Weapon XI from X-Men Origins: Wolverine). None of them have been showcased in the movie's trailers, suggesting the plan is for the Variants to be - mostly - kept under wraps.
There's also a great shot of Hugh Jackman suited up as Wolverine and lots of eye-catching pieces with the McU's "Best Bubs" striking different poses together.
While we've now seen plenty of Wade Wilson's Variants, chances are the movie's biggest cameos will be kept under wraps until post-release.

Twenty years ago this month, the fairy tale-like romantic comedy “13 Going on 30” starring Jennifer Garner made its way into cinemas. The actress played Jenna Rink, a socially awkward soon-to-be 13-year-old who quickly realizes that she “hates being 13.” She makes a birthday wish to be “thirty, flirty and thriving.” With the little help of some wishing dust, she wakes up the next morning to discover that her wish has come true.
It was a defining moment in Garner’s early career. Her role as Sydney Bristow in the television action thriller series “Alias” had made her a breakout star (including at awards shows) just a few years earlier. She won the Golden Globe for Best Drama Actress in 2002 and had competed again in 2003 and earlier in 2004. She had also been nominated for two Emmy Awards one Screen Actors Guild trophy.

Twenty years after its release, the Jennifer Garner-led comedy 13 Going on 30 is still thriving.
Sony released Gary Winick’s comedy in theaters April 23, 2004, and the film earned $96 million ($159 million today) at the global box office. Also featuring Mark Ruffalo, Judy Greer and Andy Serkis, the movie centered on teenage Jenna Rink (played by Christa B. Allen, now known as Christa Belle), who gets embarrassed at a party and makes a wish that transforms her into her 30-year-old self (Garner).
Co-writers Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa, in addition to Belle, separately share with The Hollywood Reporter about other actresses being considered for Garner’s part, Ruffalo feeling hesitant to do the “Thriller” dance, memories of Winick (who died of cancer in 2011 at age 49), the status of a stage musical, and persistent chatter among the film’s team regarding a potential onscreen reboot.

The latest trailer for "Deadpool & Wolverine" suggests the movie might be even more of a cameo-fest than we'd previously predicted.
Hugh Jackman is back as Logan, of course, and he's bringing leftover characters from the erstwhile 20th Century Fox's Marvel Universe. We already knew Elektra (Jennifer Garner), Pyro (Aaron Stanford), and Toad would be back. So will Wolverine's archenemy Sabretooth, perhaps finally giving Logan a chance at closure.
Around the 1:50 minute mark of the new trailer, you were probably focused on the decapitated head of a Giant Man variant (his rotting skull concealed within his ant-styled helmet). I'm much more curious about the characters standing beneath this makeshift base, who look to be familiar (mutant) faces from previous "X-Men" films: Yuriko Oyama/Lady Deathstrike from "X2" and Azazel from "X-Men: First Class."
Both are seen at too far a distance to determine if their previous actors...

Image created by “Shutterstock.AI” Can you believe it’s been 20 years since 13 Going on 30? Remember wishing you could be older? This beloved romantic comedy with Jennifer Garner still makes us laugh (and maybe cringe a little at our younger selves)! Jenna Rink (Garner) is a geeky 13-year-old desperate to be popular. After a disastrous birthday, she wishes to be “30, flirty, and thriving” – and Bam! She wakes up as a 30-year-old. Turns out, adult life isn’t all sunshine and roses. With help from her best friend Matt, she tries to find her way and maybe even discover love. Garner was already famous for the TV show Alias, but 13 Going on 30 let her show off her fun side. Remember that epic Thriller dance scene? Turns out, it was a dream come true for Garner too! (Click on the media bar below to hear Jennifer Garner) https://www.

To provide clarity, let’s explore the confirmed and rumored cameos and variants expected in the film.
Aaron Stanford – John Allerdyce/Pyro (Confirmed)

Just like with every anticipated project, plenty of rumors are going around about potential cameos, variants, and elements of the movie. Some have been confirmed like Garner’s Elektra, and some remain under speculation, with more and more evidence stacking to support them. This is why we decided to overview all confirmed (and rumored) cameos & variants that are supposed to be included in the movie.

Just like a prayer, the latest trailer for the highly anticipated "Deadpool & Wolverine" arrived this morning, showing off even more of Wade Wilson's first entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If bringing the R-rated Merc with a Mouth into the Marvel Studios world wasn't enough, with all the naughtiness that entails, surely Hugh Jackman picking up Wolverine's claws again will seal the deal.
Of course, since "Deadpool & Wolverine" is bringing the characters from 20th Century Fox's universe of Marvel movies into the MCU, there are even more recognizable faces who will be popping up. Along with reports of Jennifer Garner reprising her role as Elektra and the appearance of Pyro in the first trailer for the movie, the latest batch of footage shows off some returning characters from previous "X-Men" movies. “Deadpool & Wolverine,” Marvel’s only movie scheduled for release in 2024, just got a new red-band trailer filled with enough swear words and blood splatters to make up for a decade and a half of PG-13 movies.
The buddy action comedy finds Ryan Reynolds’ wisecracking mercenary Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s angry superhero Wolverine teaming up to save the world. The film marks the first time Deadpool and Wolverine are officially part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as each were previously part of the X-Men films produced by Fox. “Deadpool & Wolverine” is also Jackman’s first time playing Wolverine since 2017’s “Logan.”
The trailer is heavy on Deadpool and Wolverine’s foul-mouthed odd-couple dynamic, and features the self-referential, fourth-wall-breaking comedy typical of the “Deadpool” franchise – and this time, the jokes are at Marvel’s expense. There’s an extended bit at the end of the trailer where Deadpool and his elderly,...

What would hurt worse, Wolverine’s claws slicing right into your groin or Deadpool’s semiautomatic handguns firing into your flanks while he cradles you spread eagle on icy terrain? "I don't know anything about saving worlds, but you do!" Lock & load, everyone!! Marvel + 20th Century have revealed the second official trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine, formerly known as Deadpool 3, the latest in his foul-mouthed, absurdly bonkers comic book movie comedy series. It's time for the infamous Merc with a Mouth, Deadpool, to mess up the MCU by getting his tricky little fingers all over this superhero-filled multiverse. Even though this is technically Deadpool 3, he's diving full on into the whole franchise and bringing Wolverine along with him to mess around with the past (and future). Ryan Reynolds stars once again as Wade Wilson / Deadpool alongside Hugh Jackman as Logan / Wolverine, and a cast featuring Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Matthew Macfadyen, Emma Corrin, Shioli Kutsuna, Karan Soni, Leslie Uggams, & Jennifer Garner. Marvel has unveiled a new trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine, its upcoming R-rated comic book epic starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as our titular, foul-mouthed heroes. The trailer is soundtracked by Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” and full of F-bombs — including this summer’s superhero catchphrase, “Lfg.”
Directed by Shawn Levy (Stranger Things), the film finds Deadpool (Reynolds) teaming up with a Wolverine (Jackman) — but not the Wolverine we’ve seen in past X-films. The mother of three danced to Nicki Minaj’s song ‘Ftcu’.
Garner slipped her feet into the oven mitts, positioning them so that the thumbs served as the heels, and proceeded to kick her legs like a Rockette.
As per ‘People’, the birthday girl, dressed in sweatpants and a grey turtleneck sweater, stood up and continued to dance in her oven mitt shoes, laughing at herself as she nearly wiped out in the process.
“Fancy boots for my birthday! Yay, happy birthday to me,” the ’13 Going on 30′ star wrote in the caption.
Garner recently told ‘People’ about her birthday plans, though oven mitt shoes were not part of the original idea.

Deadpool & Wolverine is one of the most talked about project to be released this year. With fans deeming it to be the savior of the MCU after the franchise’s dreadful run in the last few years, the upcoming movie has a lot to prove. But given the impact and success of the Ryan Reynolds starrer so far, it’s a more or less safe to bet on the movie. And with Hugh Jackman joining the fray, things are only looking up.
Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson in Deadpool & Wolverine
The movie is expected to have quite a few camoes, with Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Jennifer Garner’s Elektra already confirmed. Deadpool is supposedly going to travel across timelines and meet various mutants as well as variants of himself. The movie already features Dogpool, which we already know is going to be an absolute hoot. But let...

Deadpool & Wolverine, the only theatrical project to be released this year from Marvel Studios, has a lot riding on its shoulders. Starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the titular roles, the movie will see many old faces coming back to the fold. Recently, director Shawn Levy and Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige were at CinemaCon, where an almost 10-minute long footage from the movie was shown. And to the surprise of many, an Og Avenger made the trip to Deadpool land.
Deadpool & Wolverine is the sole theatrical MCU release of the year
After Avengers: Endgame, two out of six Og Avengers bid goodbye to the MCU – Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Chris Evans’ Captain America. Scarlett Johansson too said farewell to her role of Black Widow soon after with her standalone movie, Black Widow (2021). Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, and Chris Hemsworth are still part of the MCU,...

The Writers Guild of America resurfaced its 2023 strike in a comedy bit that unfurled at the union’s Los Angeles awards ceremony Sunday night.
More than half a year after the union ended its 148-day strike, the union spoofed the top negotiator representing studios and streamers during those talks, Carol Lombardini, in a raunchy and at times brutal routine at the Hollywood Palladium. Nearly an hour into the union’s annual awards ceremony and between awards presentations, host Niecy Nash-Betts began interacting with an image of “Lombardini” on a screen behind her. (Only the mouth of the image moved, and the rest was static.)
When Nash-Betts asked why “Lombardini” was there, the image responded by congratulating the co-chairs of the WGA’s negotiating committee during the 2023 strike, David Goodman and Chris Keyser, for winning the Morgan Cox Award for service to the union. “First of all, I want to congratulate all the nominees and winners,...
