February's line of Funko Pop!s is going to have some Dino DNA, as Jurassic Park joins the Funko family!
Stop dusting off the fossilized 6-foot turkey and pop some champagne because Funko has an John Hammond-esque announcement you'll need to incredulously take your aviators off to see.
Welcome to...Jurassic Park Funko Pop!s!
I will say, as much as I love these Pop!s and will most likely buy them, I am disappointed that Samuel L. Jackson's John Arnold is no where to be found. He could've at least been in a lab coat, smoking a cigarette, maybe holding his arm. What about the blood-sucking lawyer sitting on a toilet? Or an electrified Tim and his concerned sister? There are so many Jurassic Park moments to choose from!
Nevertheless, Funko has adapted some of our favorite characters from Jurassic Park into their famous collectibles, Pop!, in honor...

It has been 22 years since “Jurassic Park” captured the imagination of a generation. In that time, it has been absorbed into pop culture via quotes such as “Hold on to your butts” and an irrational love of carnivorous pack predators that would just as soon eat your intestines as look at you. But while the important takeaway from the movie is obviously that Jeff Goldblum should always languish shirtless in every film — and that bringing species back to life that have been extinct for millions of years is a terrible idea — “Jurassic World” is full of other lessons...if you know where to look for them. Lessons like... #1. It’s okay to threaten obnoxious children with dinosaur fossils. There are two types of children in the world: those who love paleontology and those who are wrong. “Jurassic Park” wastes no time in letting the audience know how it feel about the latter.

Another 25 unsung greats come under the spotlight, as we provide our pick of the underappreciated films of 1995...
The year covered in this week's underrated movie rundown was significant for a number of reasons. It was the year that saw the release of Toy Story - the groundbreaking movie that would cement Pixar's reputation as an animation studio, and set the tempo for CG family movies for the next 18 years and counting. It was the year that saw James Bond (played by Pierce Brosnan for the first time) emerge for GoldenEye after a six-year break. It was also the year of Michael Mann's Heat, Dogme 95, and the moment where Terry Gilliam scored a much-deserved hit with 12 Monkeys.
As ever, we're focusing on a few of the lesser-known films from this particular year, and we've had to think carefully about what's made the cut and what hasn't.

A philanthropic billionaire couple was so passionate about making sure the Head Start initiative — which provides educational programs for low-income children ages 3-5 — could stay open during the Us government shutdown, they donated a huge sum of $10 million of their own money to make sure the nation’s poorest children get the care they need.
John and Laura Arnold made a huge move in keeping Head Start education programs running during the United States government shutdown. They dipped into their massive personal fortune to help fund the worthy cause. Their donation means that 7,000 children from low-income families will continue to receive the benefits of care programs during the shutdown.

The Arnolds have a reported personal fortune of $2.8 billion, but a $10 million pledge is no small sum! Their hefty donation will keep 7 Head Start program centers in six states open during the government shutdown,...

In the vein of similar takes on Back to the Future, Gremlins and Star Wars, here are my reasons for naming 1993 sensation Jurassic Park as the best movie of all time. Many of them aren’t strictly “reasons” – just cool, funny or nostalgic things that fans will hopefully get a kick out of:
1. “Clever girl.”
An iconic scene…
Game warden Robert Muldoon (Bob Peck) has some of the film’s finest moments (“they remember”; “they should all be destroyed!”; “I told you how many times we needed locking mechanisms on the vehicle doors!?”; and “quiet all of you: they’re approaching the tyrannosaur paddock!”), but his best remembered line – one of the most quoted from the movie – is the above gem, delivered just prior to his grisly demise.
2. “I bring a scientist, you bring a rockstar.”
Jeff Goldblum: Movie Scientist!
Remember that film starring Jeff Goldblum that you like?...

Lon Chaney on TCM: He Who Gets Slapped, The Unknown, Mr. Wu Get ready for more extreme perversity in West of Zanzibar (1928), as Chaney abuses both Warner Baxter and Mary Nolan, while the great-looking Mr. Wu (1927) offers Chaney as a Chinese creep about to destroy the life of lovely Renée Adorée — one of the best and prettiest actresses of the 1920s. Adorée — who was just as effective in her few early talkies — died of tuberculosis in 1933. Also worth mentioning, the great John Arnold was Mr. Wu's cinematographer. I'm no fan of Laugh, Clown, Laugh (1928), The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923), or The Phantom of the Opera (1925), but Chaney's work in them — especially in Hunchback — is quite remarkable. I mean, his performances aren't necessarily great, but they're certainly unforgettable. Chaney's leading ladies — all of whom are in love with younger, better-looking men — are Loretta Young (Laugh, Clown, Laugh), Patsy Ruth Miller...
