Paramount+ has picked up SkyMed Season 3, which will continue the medical drama series that follows young medics and pilots who fly air ambulances across the remote skies of Northern Canada.
Produced by Piazza Entertainment, the nine-episode third season begins on Monday, March 25, in Manitoba and Ontario. The ensemble cast returns for more jaw-dropping rescues 20,000 feet in the air.
SkyMed Season 3 will be available to watch exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and internationally outside of Canada and on CBC in Canada.
The new episodes will pick up in the aftermath of the dramatic season two finale, in which the mounting pressure within the tight-knit SkyMed team – and the shocking medical emergency for one of its members – threatened to tear the group apart.

Candace Cameron Bure is stepping back into a mystery role. Great American Family has announced it will launch Great American Mysteries, with mystery movie franchises starring some of the network’s beloved talent, soon. It will launch with The Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: A Case for the Winemaker, starring Bure (who previously led Aurora Teagarden Mysteries for Hallmark) and Aaron Ashmore. The mystery is adapted from Candace Havens’ book of the same name. More new original mystery movie series will be announced in the coming weeks. In The Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: A Case for the Winemaker, Ainsley McGregor (Bure), a former Chicago criminologist, returns to her hometown, Sweet River, Texas. She has traded full-time crime work for opening Bless Your Arts, a market for artisans to sell crafts and wares. But Ainsley cannot deny her first love is crime solving and accepts a position teaching a criminology class at the local community college.

Candace Cameron Bure is no longer solving mysteries as Aurora Teagarden. Now, she’s Ainsley McGregor.
On Tuesday, Great American Family announced they will soon launch Great American Mysteries — following closely in the footsteps of Hallmark, which also has Hallmark Movies & Mysteries under its umbrella. Gaf’s first mystery film franchise will be “Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: A Case for the Winemaker,” starring Bure, Aaron Ashmore and Bj Harrison. The series will be adapted from Candace Havens’ book of the same name.
Great American Mysteries will feature “thrilling whodunnits featuring beloved Great American Family stars and the network will announce more new original mystery movie series in the next few weeks,” per Tuesday’s press release. President and CEO of Great American Media Bill Abbott added, “We are thrilled to be in the business of telling fun, light-hearted stories featuring great characters, strong stories and a fun side of the mystery...

Some significant changes are on the horizon for Gac Family, and it’s good news for Candace Cameron Bure fans who miss her in mystery roles like Aurora Teagarden Mysteries.
As you’ll recall, Bure’s Hallmark exit ended her tenure in the mystery movie franchise.
Bure took on a pivotal role at Gac Family, one of Hallmark’s biggest competitors.
Deadline revealed Tuesday Gac Family that it will launch its first-ever mystery movie franchise, and the title is pretty self-indulgent.
Great American Mysteries is the name.
As for the first title in the new strand of movies:
The Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: A Case for the Winemaker.
What is The Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: A Case for the Winemaker about?
It’s not a bad title and sounds pretty Hallmark-y, so it’s on-brand for Gac Family, we guess.
The most exciting aspect of the movie is Bure’s involvement.

Skymed Season 2 is about to hit screens on Paramount+ and we can’t wait enough! The medical drama premiered on CBC and Paramount+ in July 2022 and although it’s been quite some time since then – the second season is finally renewed for a second season with the news being dropped early this year.
What Does Skymed Season 2 Trailer Show Us?
We’ve seen the trailer and from the looks of it, we can tell you that things are going to get pretty heavy and intense – we say this because hello? With a plane going down and half the team being stranded in the middle of nowhere, it’s rather obvious that things are going to get pretty rough and tough.
Thankfully, there will be love and relationships blossoming, snakes being on a plane (intense whew!), and much much more. See the thing is that, with the trailer being vague and...

Brianne Howey, who portrays Georgia in Netflix’s show “Ginny & Georgia,” can relate to both haves of the titular duo — particularly to Georgia’s daughter Ginny (Antonia Gentry) with the family structure that Georgia has created as matriarch of their family.
“I have four younger siblings who I would die for. I’m the oldest of five. It’s obviously not exactly the same. My mom would always tell me you’ll never know how much I love you until you have a child of your own,” the actress told TheWrap. “Of course, there’s a level of that I won’t be able to relate to until I have a child of my own, but for now, Antonia feels like another sibling to me. And I have a really large age gap with my siblings. It’s everywhere from five years to 17 years.”

“Ginny & Georgia” Season 2 has it all: Troubled teens, rushed nuptials, bad exes, nonviolent murders (!), and so much more. The latest installment of this mother-daughter show, which debuted this week, is part of an ongoing trend with Netflix originals: series with heaps of drama, gasp-worthy twists, and genre-jumping storylines. They are soap operas in all but name, and they’ve become critical to Netflix’s viewership success.
Like the soap operas of yore, these shows are ostensibly targeted at women; mothers and daughters or adolescents or adult friends and the like. Viewers can expect a level of kitsch and below-average reviews even with high audience satisfaction. Most are dramas (“Emily in Paris” is just dramatic), with heavy-handed emotional beats hiding behind camera quality and picture resolution. Netflix has found one of its niches with compulsively watchable soap-y shows, where the stakes are never too high and romantic fulfillment is only one “watch next episode” away.

Ah, the glory days of early 2000s television, when studios scrambled to capitalize on the success of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Friends," and "Beverly Hills, 90210." Enter The WB's "Smallville," a Superman prequel based on the blue boy's formative years, before he donned the tights, red underwear, and cape. Starring Tom Welling as Clark Kent, Kristin Kreuk as Lana Lane, Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor, Sam Jones III as Pete Ross, and Allison Mack as Chloe Sullivan, the series offered a fun spin on the Superman story and tinkered with iconic characters in a way that made them feel fresh. Lex Luthor, for example, starts out as Clark's best friend and gradually devolves into his comic-book counterpart. At the same time, Superman regulars such as Lois Lane (Erica Durance), Jimmy Olsen (Aaron Ashmore), and Supergirl (Laura Vandervoort) were given makeovers to properly update them for the modern era; ditto...

Everyone has inner demons, even in a wealthy town like Wellsbury.
Almost every character's life changed on Ginny & Georgia Season 2 Episode 7.
Georgia strived to be more involved in Ginny's recovery, Gil showed his true colors, and Ginny dealt with racism again at school.
Racism is a topic that isn't covered much, but it affects many students, especially biracial ones like Ginny, trying to fit into a white world. Ginny & Georgia Season 2 delved into how African-American students feel ostracized in primarily white schools.
More than anything, Ginny hated feeling different, and her teacher's idea only singled her out in class even more.
In order to be fair to the students, Mr. Gitten could have suggested the students choose a book by someone they admire and lead a class discussion.
That wouldn't have put Ginny on the spot or made her responsible for changing the school's curriculum.
Ginny was still learning...

Two words that come to mind regarding the Season 2 finale of “Ginny & Georgia” are “shotgun” and “wedding,” but not in the way you might think.
Just as Georgia (Brianne Howey) marries Wellsbury Mayor Paul Randolph (Scott Porter) in the Cinderella-esque wedding of her dreams, Detective Gabriel Cordova (Alex Mallari Jr.) crashes the ceremony to arrest Georgia for the murder of Tom Fuller, whom she did, in fact, smother with a pillow. Season 2 ends with Georgia getting taken away in a cop car and her son Austin (Diesel La Torraca) chasing after her in tears.
“As heartbreaking as it was, I love the ending because again, life is contrast, life is joy and tragedy and nothing in life gets wrapped up in a perfect bow. So why would the Season 2 finale of ‘Ginny & Georgia’?” Howey says in an interview with TheWrap.

The hit Netflix series Ginny & Georgia follows mother and daughter duo, 30-year-old single mother Georgia Miller (Brianne Howey) and her 15-year-old daughter, Ginny (Antonia Gentry) who move from Texas to the town of Wellsbury. Along for the ride with them is Georgia’s nine-year-old son, Austin. Having moved multiple times before, they are no strangers to new beginnings but Wellsbury seems a bit different for the Miller family. The show’s first season explored this through the themes of race, romance and Georgia’s tendency to murder those close to her (except her beloved kids of course.) However, in season two we really get to understand the reasons why Georgia is the force she is and why she really wanted Wellsbury to be so different for her family.
The Ginny & Georgia season 2 finale opens the morning after Austin shoots his father, Gil Timmins (Aaron Ashmore) in the arm.

Fans of Netflix's hit Ginny & Georgia have been clamoring for more since the first season launched in February 2021.
The series landed a speedy Season 2 renewal following a strong response from critics and viewers.
18 months later, there have been little updates about when the show will return... until now.
Debra J. Fisher, the showrunner, took to TikTok with some updates for fans.
"The number one question I get asked as the showrunner of Ginny and Georgia is, 'Where's season two?'" she said.
Fisher confirmed that production only just wrapped, so there is still some time to wait for a premiere date.
"Here's what I know and what I can tell you: we just wrapped. So what does that mean? It will take Netflix 14 weeks to dub Ginny and Georgia into all the non-English speaking languages," the showrunner added.

Welcome to the latest installment in our regular Movies You May Have Missed series here on Nerdly, in which I highlight some of, what I think, are the best movies that have flown under the radar of many or have been “forgotten” in the intervening years since its release. Ginny & Georgia has locked in a new series regular for Season 2, and he has a romantic connection to our titular mother.
Deadline has confirmed that Aaron Ashmore has landed the series regular role of Gil Timmins on the hit drama's second season.
Georgia was drawn in by Gil's intoxicating charm and good looks.
"Gil had been out of Georgia’s life after he was charged with embezzlement and sent to jail," Deadline's character description teases.
Even more interesting, Gil is Austin's father, so it sure sounds like he will be sticking around in town for the long haul.
Ginny & Georgia Season 1 introduced us to Ginny's father, Zion, who was played by Nathan Mitchell.
It's unclear whether Zion will be a part of the Season 2 storyline, but after the way the freshman season wrapped, we're inclined to believe there will be some big twists and turns.

There will be much more trauma for the Locke family before this story comes to a close!
Netflix has dropped the full-length trailer for Locke & Key Season 2, and it teases a lot of big moments for the family.
Dodge is still well and truly a part of the story, taking over bodies and causing a lot of mayhem for everyone concerned.
But Nina Locke has primarily been in the dark about what the kids have been getting up to, and it looks like she'll be getting some answers throughout the second season.
Nina has been none the wiser about many things, but it's clear she can't shake the feeling that more than she's being led to believe is happening.
It also begs the following question:
How will she react to everything that has happened?
"After their father is murdered under mysterious circumstances, the three Locke siblings and their mother move into their ancestral home,...
