Anthony Francisco is a super-talented conceptual illustrator, who has recently worked on Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and Paramount's G.I. Joe: Retaliation. Back in 2011, Anthony was informed by Martin Astles, the Head Sculptor at Illusion Industries, that Michael Bay was making a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. The special effects makeup studio that Martin worked for wanted to work on the project. So, Anthony lent his artistic talent to help design some pitch art for Illusion Industries. How close did they come? Well, Anthony says, "We did get a chance to meet with the producers and the meeting went well but we did not get the gig." President and Creative Director Todd Tucker said, “With more of the industry having a presence in Nola, it only made sense for us to be a part of offering the best incentives to our clients, studios, and filmmakers. We couldn’t be happier to time our opening with the announcement of the release date for ‘Dylan Dog: Dead of Night’. Some of our best work is showcased in that film and began our relationship with the State of Louisiana.

Recently Dread visited the Burbank, CA effects house Illusion Industries (formerly Drac Studios) for an extensive tour guided by company president and make-up artist Todd Tucker and while there got the lowdown on the future of the company as well as exclusive word on a handful of upcoming projects, including the Brooke Lewis-starring Vamp It Out and Tucker’s currently untitled Zack Ward vehicle, which he is set to direct later this year in New Orleans, La.
