Former WCW and WWE world champion Bill Goldberg has taken to Twitter to deny a rumour that he’s signed a new four year deal with WWE starting the night after Wrestlemania.
The rumour had been started by some random account on Twitter and would usually have been dismissed had it not been for Bill himself making a point of denying it. Despite the so-called source having only 26 followers on Twitter it hasn’t stopped the rumour blowing up and hitting the headlines on several reliable wrestling news sites. In response to the Tweet – which read “Goldberg has signed a 4 year contract starting from the 8th of April 2013 until Wrestlemania Xxxiii.” - Goldberg simply replied:
“No he hasn’t”
Goldberg, 46, was last seen in a WWE ring back at Wrestlemania 20 defeating Brock Lesnar in a poorly received grudge match that ended with both men taking a Stone Cold Stunner from Steve Austin.

America Lost And Found: The Bbs Story (Criterion) Perhaps the best DVD box set released this year, this ultimate cinefile stocking stuffer offered up by Criterion, the Rolls-Royce of home video labels, features seven seminal works from the late ‘60s-early ‘70s that were brought to life by cutting edge producers Bert Schneider, Steve Blauner and director/producer Bob Rafelson, the principals of Bbs Productions. In chronological order: Head (1968) star the Monkees, the manufactured (by Rafelson, et al), American answer to the Beatles who, like it or not, did make an impact on popular culture, particularly in this utterly surreal piece of cinematic anarchy (co-written by Jack Nicholson, who has a cameo), which was largely dismissed upon its initial release, but is now regarded as a counterculture classic. Easy Rider (1969) is arguably regarded as the seminal ‘60s picture, about two hippie drug dealers (director Dennis Hopper...

By and large, the past week in film was dominated by discussion over two major news stories: the casting of The Three Stooges feature film, and the release of the first trailer for Spike Jonze's Where The Wild Things Are. While the first seemed to baffle a lot of people, the latter seemed to inspire nothing but positive endorsements across the board. We also got our first look at Ang Lee's Taking Woodstock this week, and Warner Brothers dropped a bombshell with the announcement that they would be opening up their vaults to the general public. Elsewhere, Stone Cold Steve Austin landed another acting gig, Fred Durst secured his next project as a director and Paramount locked down J.J. Abrams for another 4 years. Can you blame them?
