Candace Cameron Bure has revealed she “almost died” while trying to pull off a stunt on Netflix’s Full House reboot Fuller House. The actress joined her former co-stars Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber on the latest episode of their How Rude, Tanneritos! podcast, where she opened up about the scary incident. “I almost died!” Bure said (per Parade). “That’s not even an exaggeration,” she added, noting that she still has “Ptsd” from the experience. She then described the stunt in which her character, D.J. Tanner, rode a zipline across the show’s living room set. However, she said the rig wasn’t properly set up and ended with an almost fatal accident. “During rehearsal, the rig was not set up correctly, and there was no safety stop on the end of [the zipline],” Bure recalled. “So when I landed off the zipline and stopped, the whole mechanism, which is all metal and very,...

“We’re not allowed to talk about Scrubs.” That was the consensus that co-stars Zach Braff and Donald Faison reached almost immediately during the Aug. 1 episode of their Scrubs rewatch podcast, Fake Doctors, Real Friends. The pair, like many actors with thriving audio platforms, had been unsure of how to approach their side gig during the SAG-AFTRA strike and initially segued into repeats. Not only is there the obvious fear of speaking out of turn during Hollywood’s labor crisis — see recent foot-in-mouth comments from Stephen Amell, Jamie Lee Curtis and Zachary Levi, each of whom immediately backpedaled — podcasting is proving to be a strike gray area despite the union clearing up guidelines. Mostly.

Full House was one of the most beloved sitcoms of the late 1980s/early 1990s. The series centered around Danny Tanner (Bob Saget), a recent widower who enlists the help of his best friend Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier), and brother-in-law Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos) to raise his three young daughters. The oldest sister D.J. was played by Candace Cameron Bure, and Jodie Sweetin portrayed the middle daughter Stephanie.
A reboot of the classic sitcom, Fuller House, premiered on Netflix in 2016 but this time revolved around the two girls, along with their friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber). Not only were the characters the best of friends, but so were the actors.

Don’t expect any holiday cheer for gay characters in a Candace Cameron Bure Christmas movie moving forward. When asked if her new made-for-tv Christmas movies at the conservative-leaning Great American Family network will feature same-sex couples, the “Full House” star demurred and said that it will “keep traditional marriage at the core.”
Bure, who has been referred to as The Queen of Christmas after making over two dozen movies with the Hallmark Channel since 2008, explained in an interview with the Wall Street Journal that she left Hallmark earlier this year because of a desire to “tell stories that have more meaning and purpose and depth behind them.” But she hinted that even Hallmark, which is working on a Christmas movie featuring an LGBTQ love story, may have gotten too woke in recent years.

Great American Family, a television channel that’s not the Hallmark Channel, has big plans for white-collar criminal/actress Lori Loughlin, with network CEO Bill Abbott telling Variety: “She’s America’s sweetheart, regardless of whatever happened.”

Netflix’s Fuller House has been acquired by Gac Family in a rare syndication deal for a streaming series. But how exactly does the fledgling cable network intend to deal with episodes that are, well… fuller?
Whereas episodes of predecessor Full House — which also airs on Gac Family — ran anywhere from 21-24 minutes, the Netflix revival rarely had episodes clock in under 27 minutes, with some (such as the 2016 pilot) running as long as 36 minutes.
