Became the first secretary of the Society of Electro-Acoustic Music (SEAMUS) in the U.S. in 1985 and received an award for her work from them in 1997. Her last composition was "Mixed Emotions", created for the University of California in 2000.
She and her husband Louis opened a studio in Greenwich Village in 1948 which attracted such notables as Aldous Huxley. Her second husband was screenwriter Leonard Neubauer.
