The 42nd International Film Festival of India, Goa (Iffi) will showcase a special package called “Soccer in Cinema”. The screenings from this package will be held every day from 8-10pm.
“While Goa is known for its soccer crazy audience, Iffi brings to the fore films that not only invoke the euphoria of the game but also hold high cinematic values in terms of form and treatment,” as stated in a press release.
The festival will be held from November 23-December 3, 2011.
Films to be showcased in the ‘Soccer in Cinema’ package are:
- A Barefoot Dream (South Korea) directed by Kim Tae-gyun
- Mario Filho, Creators of Crowd (Brazil) directed by Oscar Maron Filho
- Foot of God (Italy) directed by Louis Sardiello
- Argentina Futbol Club (Argentina – USA) directed by Juan Pablo Rubio
- The Best Women in the World (Germany) directed by Britta Becker
- More Than Just...
