- Hans Behal was born on October 21, 1893 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary [now Austria]. He was an actor, known for The Living Dead (1932), Schatten der Unterwelt (1931) and Nie wieder Liebe! (1931). He died in 1957 in Israel.
- He realised some plays as a director from 1932.
- The actor Hans Behal first appeared at the theater from 1920, among others at different stages in Vienna like the Akademie-Theater and at the Neue Wiener Volksbühne. It followed engagements at the Theater in der Josefstadt and at the Neues Theater in Frankfurt before he went to Berlin in 1929.
- In Berlin he also joined the filmbusiness and he impersonated roles in movies like "Männer ohne Beruf" (1929), "Schatten der Unterwelt" (1931), "Nie wieder Liebe!" (1931), and Fritz Lang's masterpiece "M - Eine Stadt sucht einen Mörder" (1931).
- Before Germany took over the power in Austria he emigrated with his family to Palestine. He founded the Kleinkunstbühne "Arche Noah" in Tel Aviv in 1936.
- As a Jew he was no longer able to work in Germany. He went back to Austria where he led the cabaret "Der Regenbogen".
