- Achim Benning was born on January 20, 1935 in Magdeburg, Germany. He was an actor and director, known for Haus Herzenstod (1968), Sommergäste (1981) and Elektra (1963). He died on January 30, 2024 in Vienna, Austria.
- Taught acting as Professor Emeritus at the Max-Reinhardt-Seminar (University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna) from 1993 to 2003.
