To his first movies as a director belong "Kismet" (1916), "Kindertränen" (16), "Der Mutter Schuld" (1918) and "Die Nackten" (1919). To many of those movies he also wrote the script.
He joined the film business in 1916 where he was busy as a screen writer and director.
His film career came to an end with the rise of the sound film era.
