- Umberto Bindi was born on May 12, 1932 in Genoa, Liguria, Italy. He was an actor, known for Last Night in Soho (2021), Rocco and His Brothers (1960) and Girl with a Suitcase (1961). He died on May 23, 2002 in Rome, Lazio, Italy.
- His song "Il mio mondo" was played by Elvis Presley and The Beatles in their only and untaped session together.
- Cilla Black topped the UK chart with "You're My World", the English adaptation of Bindi's ballad "Il Mio Mondo", in 1964. Four years later, Black had another hit (#39) with "Where Is Tomorrow?", another ballad written by Bindi with the title "Non C'è Domani".
