- Phillan Bishop was born on April 12, 1948. He was a composer, known for Kiss of the Tarantula (1975), The Severed Arm (1973) and Messiah of Evil (1974). He died on August 22, 1991.
- Phillan is the sororal-nephew of Jazz pianist Hampton Hawes.
- Composer of three horror cult films, he was billed for his 'Electronic Music' before composers like Tangerine Dream would become famous for that kind of otherworldly vibe which, in Bishop's case, sounded a bit like arcade games... and this was before most were made.
