- Survivor of the 1912 sinking of the RMS Titanic.
- In 1990, she took a boat cruise to Mexico. This was her first time being on a boat or ship since the ill-fated voyage of the Titanic in 1912. She died four months later.
- Daughter of Allen Oliver Becker and his wife Nellie E. Baumgardner.
- Older sister of Luther Becker, Marion Becker and Richard Becker.
- Becker died on July 6, 1990 in Santa Barbara at age 90 as a result of complications of a stomach ulcer and old age. She was cremated and on April 16, 1994 and her ashes were spread over the exact spot in the Atlantic Ocean where the Titanic sank 78 years before. Frank Goldsmith and Fourth Officer Joseph Boxhall also had their ashes scattered there.
- In the years following the disaster, Becker refused to talk about her experiences aboard the Titanic and her own children, when young, did not know that she had been on board. After she retired and moved to Santa Barbara, California, she began speaking more openly.
