- His father, Bernard Bosanquet (1877-1936), was a legendary cricketer who played for Middlesex and who is credited with inventing the "googly", a style of bowling that makes the ball exceptionally difficult for the batsman to hit. In Australia the delivery was known as the "Bosie", named after him.
- Made a cameo appearance in the 22 December 1970 episode of Monty Python's Flying Circus (1969); exactly one year later, was impersonated (as 'Reginald Boozenquet') by Benny Hill on the 22 December 1971 edition of The Benny Hill Show (1969).
- Reginald married Felicity in 1965 and they had a daughter, Delilah, born in May 1968. They used to live in a big house in Sussex which was formerly the home of Rex Harrison and Rachel Roberts, then moved to a flat in Chelsea.
