- After WWII, he moved to Hollywood to write, direct and produce for radio programs such as "The Dinah Shore Show" and "The Steve Allen Show." He also wrote comedy for Fred Allen, Groucho Marx and Ozzie & Harriet.
- Was VP in charge of programming at ABC from 1962-1965. Following that stint, he became VP in charge of programs at United Artists Television.
- Founded and became president of the Television Producers Guild of America in the late 1950s and worked with Walter Mirisch, president of the Screen Producers Guild, to spearhead the early 1960s merger of the two entities, forming the Producers Guild of America.
- He is survived by his manager/producer son, David Brady; writer/actress/singer daughter Deanna Brady; and producer grandson Devon Brady.
- As a full professor, he helped develop CSUN's Radio/TV/Film Dept. During his tenure, he wrote and published "Keys to Writing for Television & Film," "The Understructure of Writing for Film & Television," and "Principles of Adaptation for Film & Television.".
- Ben Brady was a true "hyphenate," not only a lifetime member of the Producers Guild but also of the Writers Guild. Throughout his career, he continued to write in various capacities and often wrote, co-wrote, rewrote, or revised many of the scripts he produced.
