Ramón Bravo was born on October 21, 1925 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. He was a cinematographer and writer, known for Licence to Kill (1989), Tintorera: Killer Shark (1977) and Zombie (1979). He died on February 21, 1998 in Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
He is best known for discovering the now-famous Cave of the Sleeping Sharks where he photographed Tiger Sharks sleeping on the ocean floor off Isla Mujeres off the Yucatan Peninsula in the Caribbean north of Cancun.
